Sharing the thought that came today: A Kaur is a princess of the highest formation. Her father is a supreme king of entire creation. Turban is her crown and weapons are her decoration. Truth is her beauty she is filled with compassion. Another one which came to mind yesterday: I am not a normal princess who is bothered by the worldly things I am a "Princess of GOD" because my fatheby Harmeet Singh - Gurmat Discussion Forum

Since we all believe that Guru Nanak Dev Sahib Ji is the only Satguru since the begining. I have read somewhere that there are Gurbani tuks supporting that first Akal Purakh created himself as Nirgun Saroop and then created Naam and then created Satguru (Guru Nanak Dev Sahib Ji) as Sargun Saroop to go and give Naam to the abhilaakhis. However I am not able to find Gurbani tuks supporting that, thby Harmeet Singh - Gurmat Discussion Forum

One of the Singh went to Sri Amritsar Sahib checked from all book shops including Singh Brothers but couldn't find it. I wonder how the writers like Giani Gian Singh, Piara Singh Padam, Giani Gurdit Singh etc. got these Vahis as they refer extensively to the different Vahis for different parts of history. Maybe if someone know their family, the books can be digitized for future.by Harmeet Singh - Gurmat Discussion Forum
Anyone know where we can find There seems to be lot of good information on Sikh History in Bhatt Vahis but the only Bhatt Vahi I could find is by Bhatt Swaroop Singh Kaushish (which is copied in Guru Kian Saakhian by Piara Singhby Harmeet Singh - Gurmat Discussion Forum
Some of the answers to the question are there in the thread I have read at many places including that Bhai Sahib Bhai Randhir Singh was of the same opinion that Bhagats before Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji were in Karam Khand and Guru Nanak Dev Ji gave them the daat of Naam and that is when they recited Gurbani (before that they had many hymns which aren't part of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji even thoby Harmeet Singh - Gurmat Discussion Forum

We saw this movie and is beautifully made within the boundaries of basic sikh principles and I would say it is the best attempt to make a movie on Sikh history without much distortion. We are encouraging everyone to see the movie and support these projects so that similar projects and made in same quality and even complete Gurmat principles. A good account of Indian Mutiny (especially the role of Rani Jhansi and other leaders and their intentions) is given here Rani of Jhansi was brave and of high character but the mutiny was not for independence. Also RC Mazoomdar wrote decent material about the same.by Harmeet Singh - Gurmat Discussion Forum
I don't know about how she died but from what I have read so far is that the fight of 1857 was no where a fight of independence. It was the fight for their individual interest and even Rani of Jhansi wanted her son to be given the throne and that was the sole focus and not the independence. Dr. Ganda Singh and many other scholors have done enormous research of that time.by Harmeet Singh - Gurmat Discussion Forum

Looking for help from someone living near Faridkot. There is a village Moranwali near Faridkot which has Mai Bheekhan Shaheedni Sports Club. Also if you see the below poster of the club tournament, the top left corner seems to have something like Samaadh of Mai Bheekhan. I want to find out if she is the same Mai Bheekhan who got shaheed in the battle of Sirsa fighting the Mughals in 1705. If sheby Harmeet Singh - Gurmat Discussion Forum
I have been robbed for years, I can now feel the pain. The robbers show no fear, they loot all the spiritual gain. They get daring with time, making my life go in vain. The writers who believe that "Gurbani should be understood" criticize Naam and try their own matt to understand Gurbani which will do Anarth. Some writers who were in favor or "just blindly repeating Gurbani" also didn't focus on importance of Naam thus not understand the tatt of Gurbani.
