I saw this video a couple of weeks ago. Keeping aside the spiritual aspect, I found it very disturbing. - ਕੀby eyesacademic - Gurmat Discussion Forum
I shall chip in, just for adding something to the discussion from a different point of view. - A common mind which vibrates at lower level is ego oriented. The sens of separate individual existence is very strong. - Such mind is constantly reacting and responding to inner and outer experiences in an egoic way. Desire and aversion are constantly generated. - Such movements of the mind, sby eyesacademic - Gurmat Discussion Forum

I feel all of the Gurudwaras should nowadays have HD CCTV cameras installed in the premises, so that culprits can be brought to the book. Some Gurudwaras already have this. I know our local Gurudwara has them and there was an incident in which a golak-chor was caught with their help. These days free time has become a luxury and I rarely get a chance to sit, relax and read. I so miss my earlier days when time was never a constraint when it came to reading. Many times I feel that while there is so much to read with eyes there is little to listen with ears when it comes to books, stories etc. A couple of months ago I listened to audio reading of Gurmukh Sikhya (Bhai Vir Singh'by eyesacademic - Gurmat Discussion Forum
Young brother most of what we are experiencing on this earth has been going on for countless centuries and has already been experienced by countless people before us and shall continue to experience, long after we are gone. There are many westerner followers of Yogi Bhajan and they keep on coming out with their self-concocted meditations and mantras. All hocus-pocus and are pushed onto gullible white westerners under the garb of Sikh yoga. I accept the value of yoga asanas and kriyas for cleansing and vitalising the body and its pranic system. Whereas my beliefs lie with teachings of SGGS I do not understand why we need to react strongly whenever the topic of science and scientists comes up in context of death, after life, God, Soul and other similar topics. I have never read or followed news regarding Vatican church or its pope. I do not know anything about Pope Francis. I don't care a fig for Francis, but ITS SADDER that we ,make distinction when it comes to what is beautiful and worthy. As Shakespeare said, 'I'd rather be a dog and bay the moon', than be a narrow minded 'appreciator' of Waheguru's greatness.by eyesacademic - Gurmat Discussion Forum
GK ji I agree, sometimes we are too narrow in our perception and we think that outside Sikhi circle Waheguru's kirpa is not working at all. In every religion there have been saints and great men. All over globe there have been saints as well as warriors of A Class. I feel 100% sure that if the epithet 'Flying Sikh' had not been spoken in Rome and had it not caught the imagination of the press, he would never have received all the respect and fame that he got later in his life. One cannot understand the true situation while living at a distance.
