This seems to be a problem just with nexus so far. We will test it with the Nexus tablet we have and see what the problem is. Are you experiencing the same problem with any other Gurbani app?by Preetam Singh - Gurmat Discussion Forum
All of the Bhagats who's Bani is in Guru Granth Sahib jee all met Guru Nanak Dev jee and became Sikhs. Only the Bani that was written by them after this point is included in Gurbani. I was hesitant to post in this thread because I don't see the value in trying to convince someone that Vaheguru exists and to rationalize why Vaheguru does what he does. There is no proof outside of Gurbani that we could give you to say why Vaheguru punishes sinners and takes Gurmukhs too Sachkhand. The only reasoning for this is in Gurbani, which you admittedly have doubts about. So I will noby Preetam Singh - Gurmat Discussion Forum
Bhai Sahib jee, In the first example wouldn't Shingaar still be a verb because it is something that is done. Doesn't ਕੀਤਾ denote that shingaar is something that was done rather than something that was worn? For it to be a noun wouldn't it have to be ਉਸ ਨੇ ਸ਼ਿੰਗਾਰ ਪਾਇਆ ?by Preetam Singh - Gurmat Discussion Forum

Please read the following write-up by Bhai Kulbir Singh from a while back. Preetam Singh Majnoo: "If I don't get married to her I will die" Meaning of Majnoo Majnoo literally means crazy. Other synonyms for this word in Indian languages are Divaana, Baura, Baawra, Pagla, Paagal, Kamla etc. Even though the word Majnoo means Divaana but in Punjabi, Hindi and Urdu, this word is usedby Preetam Singh - Gurmat Discussion Forum
The reason we don't use roasted nuts is because rhey have already been cooked and aren't a raw ingredient anymore. It would be the same as eating a baked potato from the store. If we roast the nuts ourselves then we can eat them without any problems.by Preetam Singh - Gurmat Discussion Forum

Keeping a coconut and having a jot during Sri Akhand Paath Sahib does not seem in accordance to Gurmat. It only makes sense to have a jot in Puratan times so that at night they can continue to do paath. Sri Japjee Sahib paaths have been done in the past alongside Sri Akhand Paath Sahib but the paath is still complete even without the Sri Japjee Sahibs and I personally don't see the point ofby Preetam Singh - Gurmat Discussion Forum
There are many accounts of people who have taken sharan of Naam and Gurbani and have been cured of their ailments. One of the most inspiring cases for me personally was when I read Jail Chittiyan and Bhai Sahib described how he was cured from very high fever by doing Japjee Sahib de paath. He not only cured himself but also his father who was severely sick. I would suggest reading that chapterby Preetam Singh - Gurmat Discussion Forum
What is love worth, if you cannot do what your lover asks of you? A lot of times we hear people saying that all that counts is that we have love for Vaheguru, and that Vaheguru doesn't care about anything else except for how much we love him. On the surface this seems very logical, that since Vaheguru is the knower of hearts, he will be able to see how much love we have for him and then he wiby Preetam Singh - Gurmat Discussion Forum

Ignorant Americans.... Vaheguru. Osama Bin Laden was a Mujahideen when he went to Afghanistan during the cold war but was never ever part of Taliban. Even when he went to Afghanistan for refuge in 1996 he was originally invited there by Massoud, the leader of the Northern Alliance and the number one enemy of the Taliban. He was given refuge by the Taliban because of their Pashtun culture andby Preetam Singh - Gurmat Discussion Forum

Tejwant Singh jee, Your question cannot be answered until you yourself answer my question. The question still stands. Are you saying that it is not Hukam for a Gursikh to wake up around 2 am to engage in recitation of Gurmantar and Nitnem Banian?by Preetam Singh - Gurmat Discussion Forum
Tejwant Singh jee, QuotePardon my ignorance but what do you mean by carnivorous animals? Which animals do goats eat? Please specify. What does this have to do with the Bibek budhi?
