QuoteA gursikh once said that dasvandh can be used on yourself it's for the benefit of khalsa panth. Some examples they gave were getting horseback riding lessons, archery lessons, buying a bow and arrow, kirtan/tabla lessons as all of these would be in the purpose of being tyar bar tyar for khalsa panth or for doing seva of khalsa panth. Can sangat please share their views on this? Is this is okby Preetam Singh - Gurmat Discussion Forum
Jaskirat Singh Jeeo, I will attempt to address your points to the best of my knowledge. Quote1. Sikh give Dasvandh to local Gurdwara Sahib Committee. Then committee buy groceries for everyday Langar. Both Amritdhari and Non-Amritdhari eat in Langar. Can this be considered Dasvandh given to Khalsa Panth ? 2. Sikh give Dasvandh for School run by local Gurdwara Sahib Committee. Sometimes we have some new students who are just beginning to learn Gurmukhi and are in the Oora Aira class asking us this question. In the west we have been very late in teaching Gurmukhi to our Bachay. We see that most students who come from Punjabi families are still teaching English to their Bachay first and then taking them to Gurmukhi classes later on. What happens then is the Bachay areby Preetam Singh - Gurmat Discussion Forum
I agree with Bhai Kulbir Singh, The Dasvand would have to be calculated and taken out at the soonest time. Without taking out Dasvand it is Haram di Kamayee and not suitable for a Gursikh to use. Even when we take out Dasvand regularly sometimes Gursikhs will calculate at year end to make sure that all the Dasvand has been taken out correctly and with the income tax return they also takeby Preetam Singh - Gurmat Discussion Forum
Very well done translation. Bhai Sahib Randhir Singh jee is the only writer who has such clarity of thought. What can someone say about Dasam Duar and Anhad Shabad if they have not obtained this Avastha themselves.by Preetam Singh - Gurmat Discussion Forum

Dasvand is for the Khalsa Panth only and is not to be given to other charities. In Rehitname it comes as "Dasvand Guru Neh Devaee Jhooth Bol Jo Kahe, Kahai Gobind Singh Lal Jee Tis Ka Kachh Na Visah" This is a direct Hukam that Dasvand must be given to Guru Sahib only. This means that Dasvand is for Guru Panth and Guru Granth only. Dasvand should be used for the Parchaar of Khalsa Panth.by Preetam Singh - Gurmat Discussion Forum
Gursikhs store food in glass or clay bhanday when putting it in the fridge. If your fridge is shared by non-Amritdharis then the least that should be done is having a seperate compartment where only you would be using it so that the food is not touched by non-Amritdharis. You should also cover all of the food with Kapra to give one more layer and keep the food Sucha. Best is to have a separateby Preetam Singh - Gurmat Discussion Forum
This is a very weird philosophy and isn't inline with Gurmat. They have not provided any Gurbani Panktis which support their claim that Ong is Naam and they are just using their own intellect to make unsupported claims. Naam and Gurmantar are one in the same and Naam is given by Panj Pyare in Hazoori of Sri Guru Granth Sahib jee during Amrit Sanchaar. They think that Naam is just a Naadby Preetam Singh - Gurmat Discussion Forum

QuoteNa Jee Na. As everyone is happy with English units, so does this Daassmiling bouncing smiley. Feels the same with NanakShaahi Calendar Jio. Bhai Sahib jeeo, In this circumstance since we do not use Desi units of measurement no one knows how long a Pehar is or how long a Gharee is. This is information that is very relevant to understanding Gurbani. Otherwise how could we understand whaby Preetam Singh - Gurmat Discussion Forum
QuoteHa-ha but there was no fight, Gursikhs easily accepted new units. They didn't trap themselves into Desi units vs. English units even-though GuruSahib used Desi units. So are you saying we should revert to Desi Units? I think then we should also revert to Bikrami Calendar.... Lets do it togetherby Preetam Singh - Gurmat Discussion Forum

Vaheguru! What a great legacy Bhai Jeevan Singh jee leaves behind. I wasn't fortunate to have a personal relationship with Bhai Sahib as a lot of others around the world did, but seeing their Noor Bhariya Hoeya Chehra always brings joy to the heart. Pyasi Chatrik jeeo, It is possible for Muhammad to describe Allah of Quran as formless but for Allah's form to be one that is made up of stuff in Gyan Khand. There is no point in posting false experiences, no one is falling for it here. If you are looking to build a following then you should look elsewhere. Another point to note is that Binod Singh left Saath of all the Singhs in Gurdas Nangal. This was totally contrary to Gurmat. When one Gursikh has a good idea towards how to fight in the battle, they cannot go against the rest of the Gursikhs.
