It is a difficult and undesirable situation. Probably the best thing to do would be, when you feel the inner prompt, present yourself before Bibeki Naam kamayee wale Panj Pyare, explain the whole situation, and then do as commanded. If someone can read only one of Bhai Sahib Randhir Singh Jee’s books, then I think Gurmat Bibek would be the best choice. If two, then Gurmat Bibek and Gurmat Adhiatam Karam Philosophy. The reason for this is that Gurmat Bibek provides detailed guidance on living a practical daily Gurmukhi Jeevan which is far higher than any knowledge or preaching. Bhai Sahib has written many times, across hisby Trust Singh - Gurmat Discussion Forum

Thank you for sharing this book and for generously providing a full download. From just a quick glance it becomes apparent that a good deal of time and effort has gone into this project. As well as including valuable historical information and references it is written with faith and devotion. Worth reading.by Trust Singh - Gurmat Discussion Forum
I feel the social and cultural norms (of Singhs obviously) are worth considering. Not everything is black and white; there is a grey area on some things. For example, 50–100 years ago Singhs ate gurh from the marketplace but now for hygiene and bibek reasons many only have bibeki gurh. Some Singhs do not eat store misari, others do. Homemade bibeki ghio is ideal but sometimes store bought is alby Trust Singh - Gurmat Discussion Forum

Veerjeeo, it’s really good to hear you have taken Amrit recently and are realizing the importance of rehat. Rehat is so important that without it no one can even be a Sikh. The mention of Bhai Maharaj Singh jee’s name is poignant and somewhat bittersweet for me: sweet because of the amazing way in which he earned Sikhi—looking at his jeevan I am reminded of the way in which hazoori Sikhs like Bhai Majh jee and Bhai Behlo Jee did seva and earned Sikhi in the Das Guru Kaal; and bitter because of the way in which this hero of the Guru Khalsa Panth was left to rot aby Trust Singh - Gurmat Discussion Forum

Very good indeed. It depends on your personal favourite topics and goals, but I think most Singhs would agree that Rangle Sajjan would be a good first book to read. In this month’s (May 2015) Sura magazine there was a request published to all Kirtanis (the authors are unknown to me). The purpose is not to mock or belittle anyone but for us to try and collectively get the happiness of Siri Guru Granth Sahib Jee through Gurbani Kirtan. The difficult thing with the uthaanka (ਉੱਥਾਨਕਾ) of Gurbani Shabads is that many of them may be fabricated. Many are also true for example the shabads addressed to Sajjan Thug, Bharthar Jogi, Sidh Gosht, Baavan Akhri et al. It’s hard to sift the truth from fiction without dib-drishti. So that being said, here is what Kavi Santokh Singh jee writes in Sooraj Prakash Raas 1, Ansu 58by Trust Singh - Gurmat Discussion Forum
Those who truly realize the holiness of Amrit, truly considering it Amrit should go ahead and take it. Those who accept the importance of Amrit should, after becoming Amritdhari, remain pure and free from the forbidden misdeeds instructed at the time of taking Amrit. They should remain pure and honour/appreciate this pious gift of Amrit. (As above p. 34) Please accept my apologies for any misby Trust Singh - Gurmat Discussion Forum

I am not at peace with what and how I wrote in the previous post’s paragraph beginning with “These days even big…” I am also saddened with how it was interpreted and thus responded to. Firstly I was thinking to reply with an expanded explanation of what I meant, but for fear of that also being misunderstood or causing offence I feel it would just be better to retract the entire paragraph,by Trust Singh - Gurmat Discussion Forum
