I found this on another message board and had to share it. I remember reading this Bibi's story a few years back and it was one of the things that pushed me closer to getting pesh in Jatha. For that reason alone I am in debt to this Gursikh. Its sad to hear that she has contracted such a sever illness. Although we should respect everybody irrespective of jatha or even religion for that matter, I don't think it's wise to marry someone does not have the same Sikhi values as you. A marriage partner should have the same basic goals/ideas of Sikhi as you or else it won't work out. Although you may think missing Amirtvela is a bad thing, the fact that it hurts you so much to have missed is a sign you are on the right path. Many people become custom to missing amritvela, and are happy if they even get their punj banian done in the morning. At the begining it is always hard, but as long as you have always have fear of missing amritvela, then eventually, Guru Sahib will do kiby GurmanSingh - Gurmat Discussion Forum

Even with Santhiya, even if one has learned moharnee a review should be made before starting Santhiya. 95% of Punjabi's do not know full moharnee properly, I have noticed many people have problems with the following akkhars, ਛ (usually pronounced as ਸ਼) , ਫ (usually pronounced adding a bindi, fafa) , ਞ (pronounced as sortby GurmanSingh - Gurmat Discussion Forum

I totally agree, their is a certain sanctity to Harmandar Sahib that needs to be maintained. In other Religions, the most sacred Shrines are always very protected from technology, and even things like pictures are not allowed to be taken. During hajj, phones and cameras are not allowed to be taken because it is seen to be a distraction from prayer.by GurmanSingh - Gurmat Discussion Forum
