Wow - love that photo, and boy could we do with more Singh's like them now! Found this article from Sikhreview.org written by Col. Dr. Dalvinder Singh Grewal (Dean, Guru Nanak Dev Engg. College, Ludhiana) in 2001. Bhai Rama Singh Ji actively encouraged Amrit vela naam simran in Sangat. In Southall (UK) they started of the concept, attended themselves daily and it continues 7 days a week to date. I've also heard from a Taksali Gursikh who was a student of Sant Gurbachan Singh Ji, that performing simran within Sangat is far more beneficial than doing it alone.by Unjaan - Gurmat Discussion Forum
100% in agreement with Mehtab Singh Ji. I dont class myself as Jatha but I love so many aspects of their unity, love their kirtan, love the way that they stick to wearing bana more than any other jathebandhi (esp the youth) and you can tell that the keertanis have immense pyaar and understanding of gurbani. We should look at the positives in any of the Jathebandhi instead on dwelling on points tby Unjaan - Gurmat Discussion Forum
'No one is saying that we should become a segregated society like the Muslims and keep Purdah and don’t talk with each other at all. What’s required is to know our limits. Far too many Kaam-related mistakes are being committed by our youth because of their proximity to members of opposite sex.' From a strictly personal point of view I think one should limit the amount of time talking or coby Unjaan - Gurmat Discussion Forum
One thing to note is that we should be careful about using Gurbani, especicially if we are expecting people to print the magazine. At the very least have a warning advising the audience to do agan bhet of any printed literature. For an online version we can include favourite kirtan links, vichar on gurbani, videos, audios, both English and Punjabi articles etc. Love the idea of having a cookby Unjaan - Gurmat Discussion Forum

Check out this awesome link by 'Freed' Ji. His collection of Sikhi related photographs and paintings is astounding. He used to post many times on Tapoban.org and I hope he continues sharing the images he has been collecting from a young age. A search under his authorship on Sikh Sangat or the Tapoban site reveals many more treasures.by Unjaan - Gurmat Discussion Forum
Kulbir Singh Ji - What an eye opener!!!! I have always read the Manglacharan as written. It will be tricky to to remember from hereon but Guru Kirpa I will try to read the Mangals first from now on. It may benefit the members of the forum to see the controversial video so that they can make up their own minds. It can be viewed here. This type of uncontrollable swaying from side to side with Dastaaran coming of in the presence of Guru Sahib does not seem right. These are just my thoughts and I have not yet heard the videos posted by Maha Papi Ji to hear Tarmala Jis comments. Maha Papi Jiby Unjaan - Gurmat Discussion Forum
Kulbir Singh Ji - If you are referring to the last Saroop shown (colour pic) if you look carefully it does say ਥਾਲ ਵਿਚਿ rather than ਕਾਲ ਵਿਚਿ. Singho, Thanks for the advice, the tips will come in handy. I agree we should not force Sikhi on children for fear of them rebelling later on and instead subtly expose them to the various aspects that Sikhi has to offer. Like Pyasi Ji mentioned, I try to hold conversations at his level for explaining Waheguru Ji and how Maharaj resides in everyone, how we should love them but also fear tby Unjaan - Gurmat Discussion Forum

Gursikho, When I read Gurbani my mind constantly wanders like a flickering candle. MB Singh Jio, This keera has little or no knowledge. I have only summarised in words what Gursikhs have already repeated in a previous Dasvandh post. Regards Unjaanby Unjaan - Gurmat Discussion Forum
I don't see where the complication lies. Dasvandh as already explained belongs to Guru Sahib and should be used specifically for Gurmat related parchar. Daan on the other hand can be used over and above Dasvandh to give to charities. There is nothing wrong with giving to other charities but first and foremost we should keep aside monies for Gurmat related activities. I do believe however thaby Unjaan - Gurmat Discussion Forum
For me it was second nature to say lets eat Langar, and after hearing Bhai Panthpreet Singh's vichaar, I would often be in a quandary of what terminology to use. Kulbir Singh Ji, thanks for clearing up this confusion.by Unjaan - Gurmat Discussion Forum

Some time ago was listening to Bhai Panthpreet Singh's vichaar, and they warned the Sangat in a stern voice about using the term 'eating Langar'. They stated that the meaning of Langar is an 'Anchor' and this is not something that can be consumed. They insisted we should say eating 'Parshada' instead.
