"Aalas Moorakh" jee, absolutely wonderful. You have summed it up. Shabash. 100% true. This is the real respect for Guru Jee. What is the point of all these outward customs if we do not even follow what written inside Gurbani? Many people are great and fancy in their outward shows of respect of Maharaaj Jee but the real respect and fear is that of the hukams in Gurbani, Rehitnamas, and writingsby Jaskirat Singh - Gurmat Discussion Forum
I mostly agree with Bhai Mehtab Singh Jee and "bhai" jee on this one. In Sikhi we have this knife edge of being tyaarbartyaar shasterdhari tatt bee rass on one side, and then full of love and humility on the other. We look around today, and not many Gursikhs have both, either one or the other. Sant Sipahi. It's difficult to balance, but it is not complete without both sides. Thanks for reply Bhai Sahib, I must say quite confusing I think if everyone got together and tuned up the Nanakshai Calender that would be great, I mentioned this previously over in this thread as well but who knows if that will happen. Sad that we are split on these date issues as well as other controversial matters, I guess in good time in Guru Jee's bhana they will all get cleared up.by Jaskirat Singh - Gurmat Discussion Forum
QuoteKulbir Singh I would like to echo "Khalsaj's" comments: Happy gurpurb siri guru gobind singh jee!, sanu darshan bakhshne. This is the only thing that matters. Siri Guru Dasmesh Pita jee, "Khalsaji" naal saanu vee Darshan Bakshne jee. laadlifauj jee, many people take and believe what you have written and started many questionable practices. For example: 1. Maharaaj Jee gets tired sitting long time in prakash on Takhat. So we must get a different saroop of Maharaaj Jee out 2. In hot weather we must put thin rumullas on Maharaaj Jee and make sure fans are on so they don't feel hot 3. In cold weather we must put thick ruby Jaskirat Singh - Gurmat Discussion Forum

The comments made above by Gursikhs about straight spine are good and correct. Bhai Sahib has also mentioned this (reed di hadi). The rest of your questions jee, I don't think are appropriate for public forum. Please get together with senior Gurmukhs in your local area to discuss this in sangat, or see Panj Pyare. Another Tale of an uneducated Sikh Satguru Jee says that if you want to do Seva in my darbaar, then this is how it must be done: ਮੁਰਦਾ ਹੋਇ ਮੁਰੀਦ ਨ ਗਲੀਂ ਹੋਵਣਾ || muradhaa hoe mureedh n galee hovanaa| Only by becoming dead in life, i.e. totally detached, and not through mere verbal jargon one can become a true disciple. ਸਾਬਰ ਸਿਦby Jaskirat Singh - Gurmat Discussion Forum
This is an interesting question Bhai Gulab Singh Jee. To get an answer please read this post from Bhai Kulbir Singh Jee carefully: In conclusion, someone who takes Amrit and then becomes patit (leaves Sikhi) is better off (in terms of future lives) than someone who never took Amrit and came into Sikhi in the first place at all. However, both have committed great sins and are in terrible situaby Jaskirat Singh - Gurmat Discussion Forum

Sri Guru Har Rae Sahib Jee used to personally prepare and dispense medicines for all they even established hospital for people and also animals to get treated at Sri Kiratpur Sahib. The famous Saakhi of curing Dara Shikoh comes to mind. From modern times we have Gurmukhs like Dr. Surinder Singh Jee and Dr. Tejinderpal Singh Jee Dulla who are famous for their medicines amongst the Singhs.by Jaskirat Singh - Gurmat Discussion Forum
Hanjee veerjee I did notice in the article there was no mention of SGPC, so that's why I didn't mention it in the above post, but I believe they might as well be one and the same. I agree with gursewak jee. This is outrageous. These guys have got such a big budget and deep pockets I think they do not know what to do with it. There was something like suggestion to gold plate the walls of another Gurdwara Sahib some time ago I think What next, Nishaan Sahib made from diamonds? Ruby studded parikarma? piyasi veer jee, from sangat of Gursikhs I noticed the following: If Gursikhs are getting together just for Naam Abhiyaas (no Nitnem) then Fateh will be uttered after conclusion of naam abhiyaas. However if Nitnem is going to happen as well then Fateh is done after 5 Banis completed, usually when naam abhiyaas time is coming to and end someone will just out loud start reciting mool mantar 5 tiby Jaskirat Singh - Gurmat Discussion Forum
goodluck jee, first congratulations to you for walking on Sikhi path! Shabash. Getting prepared for taking Amrit is very important. Below is as per sangat of Gursikhs and posts on this forum: 1. Sri Guru Gobind Singh Sahib Jee also had a special haathi (elephant). This haathi was a bheta from Raja Rattan Rai of Assam, he was the son of Raja Raam Rai, ruler of Assam. The Raja Raam Rai and his Rani had no children, so they approached Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib Jee to ask for blessing of son, of course our beloved dayaal kirpaal Satguru Jee fulfilled their wishes and Raja Rajjan Rai waby Jaskirat Singh - Gurmat Discussion Forum
Vaheguru! Dhan Sikhi, Dhan Sikhi, Dhan Sikhi. I am a sacrifice to these type of posts. There are some additions that I would like to make at another time (time is a bit tight at the moment), so hopefully if the Gursikhs give aseesaa and Guru Jee allows I will try and do that.by Jaskirat Singh - Gurmat Discussion Forum
Strategy of Bhai Damandeep Singh Jee is not a bad one, but one must be top Gurmukh with uchasucha jeevan to do so, rest of us, we are most likely to dragged down to their manmukhi ways as we have probably seen on this forum and in our own personal lives. So for this reason I personally avoid doing sangat with anyone except rehitvaan Gursikhs, I do not mind getting labelled as elitist, judgementalby Jaskirat Singh - Gurmat Discussion Forum
Let's not get too heated up on this jee. This is what I also meant if this was actually part of any written Ardaas document beforehand, or is it just passed down from Gursikhs. The fact that brahmgiani like Bao Jee did this section in Ardaas is not an invalid reason to add this in, but I think best way to do this, would be for us to send a letter in sangat form to SGPC asking them to include thisby Jaskirat Singh - Gurmat Discussion Forum
