ਸੇਮਥੇਨਿਹਚਲਰਹੇਜਿਨਗੁਰਿਧਾਰਿਆਹਥੁ ॥ The other day I was doing sehaj paath and I came across the above pangti. As soon as I read this pangit I was reminded of the life of Akali Phoola SIngh Ji. It is common knowledge that Kirtan Sohila be recited at night even if one recites or listens to Kirtan Sohila with sangat during Sukhasan, one stll has to recite it individually when going to sleep. Kabaddi during the Gurus time was a good thing , but todays Kabaddi environment is a bad thing. Todays Kabaadi has nothing to do with getting fit, instead its all about show and competition between different groups. People get paid and matches are betted on. Many of the players use steroroids. After the games there are partys where meat and alchol are served. Most Sikhs who play in these tournameby Sukhdeep Singh - Gurmat Discussion Forum
QuoteRest, Sukhdeep Singh jee, what you have written is your personal opinion and in our opinion it's not the Gurmat viewpoint. Do you mean to tell me that Gurmukhs such as Bhai Rama SIngh Ji and Bhai Jeevan Singh Ji were going against Gurmat by doing Dhuni in Kirtan? I think naam simran is done differently in different locations. I remember some months ago I was wathcing a Toronto Smagam on Yotube. I noticed some of the sangat were doing naam simran out of tune from sangat and they kept doing naam simran real loud even while kirtan was going on. I think this type of behavior is what Bhai Balpreet Singh Ji ( in the article above) is referring to as it puts geby Sukhdeep Singh - Gurmat Discussion Forum

The above story of Giani Ji and the Pandit remind me of another story between Baba Raam Singh Ji Khalsa and a Pandit. There was a Pandit in Punjab who use to go around the village preaching vedantic teaching stating we are God ( not a part of God ) but actually we are God. Baba Raam Singh Ji told the Singhs to grab the Pandit and throw him in the river as the Singhs started grabbing him to throwby Sukhdeep Singh - Gurmat Discussion Forum
QuoteA few weeks ago I was in Toronto attending a Gurmat Class with some of the Singhs from this forum. We were reading a chapter from Bhai Sahib Bhai Randhir Singh’s Book Unditti Dunia. QuoteWe are all in debt of Bhai Sahib Ladha Jee's unparalleled example, which not only brought back great Keetanyias back into Guru Ghar but at the same time Guru Sahib gave the aasees in roop of Sri Raamkali Ki Vaar to Sikh Panth. One more thing which should be mentioned is that other religious communities in London have the right to practice their religious diet. For example I think Hasidic and Secular Jews in jail do not have to eat non-kosher , the Musims do not have to eat non-halal, and the Hindus and Jains do not have to eat non vegatarian food. I know of a local Singh who was already married before getting into Sikhi. When he adopted Sikhi his wife kicked him out of the house, but nothing was going to deter him from Sikhi. For awhile he struggled. He lived in the streets then he lived in the Gurdwara Sahib. Eventually, his wife got back with him, and by some miraculous cause she embraced Sikhi and took amrit. Gagan Singh that incident occurred when Bhai Sahib was already keeping Sarab Loh Bibek so it was not the incident which influenced him to keep Bibek it was an incident that strengthened his belief in keeping bibek in all instances even when they don't have a bata to drink water. Most likely it was sangat of an Akali ( perhaps Akali Kaur SIngh Ji) to keep bibek. In regards to dark blue bana, aby Sukhdeep Singh - Gurmat Discussion Forum
QuoteI think you are mixing up Akali jee with someone else. He was not one of the first Gursikhs to refute the Arya Samajis and as a matter of fact he was not even born when the movement to oppose Arya Samajis started within Sikhs and was led by early Singh Sabhiyaas like Giani Ditt Singh. Though their is no harm in the practice of gurti still its not a puratan maryada. This is a new age maryada which was practiced during the the late 19th-20 Century amongst some Gursikh couples. How can an individual, a mere mortal, give amrit? Amrit is given by Panj Pyaare! With the exception of Prem Sumarg( I think)there is no mention of this method in any of the old rehatname.
