In the mool mantar we say Sat Nam Sat has a sihari and Naam has a aunkad. What is the meaning of Sat. Is sat a preposition, verb or noun. How do we determine the meaning of Sat. Sat can be refered to as a preposition meaning naam is inside? Or it can mean verb meaning doing Naam Abhyiaas? It can also be used as a noun meaning True Name? How does one determine the meaning using Grammar. Doby Sukhdeep Singh - Gurmat Discussion Forum
Whenever I hear praises of WaaheGuru in Gurbani by Guru Sahib then to me it appears GUru Sahib is speaking as a bridesmaid. For example whenever I listen to parts of Akal Ustat, Chaupey Sahib, Jap Ji Sahib etc to me it appears Guru Sahib speaks as a very vulnerable/humble bridesmaid with human attributes. There is such a feminine tone whenever GUru ji praises and does a benti in Chaupey Sahib.by Sukhdeep Singh - Gurmat Discussion Forum
Thanks for the explanation Bhai Sahib. I have never heard about Dehli Deepak. Im looking forward to a more thorough explanation on Dehli Deepak. So does the Shabad mean that through meeting SatGuru Ji dasam duaar becomes open and WaaheGuru Ji is visioned. If so does this not mean Guru Ji is God. I remember Bhai Randhir Singh Ji mentioning Guru Ji sits at the gate of Dasam Duaar?by Sukhdeep Singh - Gurmat Discussion Forum

WaaheGuru.... Gurbani Grammar is much more complicated then I ever expected. You mentioned earlier that the best way to learn is to get santhiya from someone in person. This is not possible since I live in Hickville. IS there any other way to learn Gurbani Grammar? How did BHai Randhir Singh Ji learn Grammar im sure there were not many books on this topic in those times? I was under the impby Sukhdeep Singh - Gurmat Discussion Forum
Explaining Bibek is a great tool for Gurmat Parchar I agree with other members that its difficult to explain these things to family members. I remember before I took AMrit I tried to follow bibek to a certain level and when offered food from co-workers I would reject it and explain to them I had a strict religious diet. I didnt want to confuse them or make them feel inferior so I just told thby Sukhdeep Singh - Gurmat Discussion Forum
" The best way to be saved from this (avoid dull concentration) is to do Naam Abhyaas and Gurbani Paath together. And especially to do Abhyaas (recitation with love) of Siri Sukhmani Sahib along with Naam Abhyaas is extremely beneficial. Using the whip or lash of love of the beloved one (whose Naam we chant), Gurbani keeps one alert towards Naam Abhyaas and by praising the greatness of Naam agaby Sukhdeep Singh - Gurmat Discussion Forum
It has been my experience that Amrit Vela becomes difficult when we waste our time doing usless things throughout the day. Early morning Amrit Vela only becomes difficult if our life styles our difficult. If we sleep early , avoid watching useless programs on t.v.etc, and spend our leisure time doing Naam Simran, Kirtan, Gurmat Veechar, etc then Amrit Vela is quite simple. Thanks for the much needed advice Bhai Sahib I thought Vedas is referring to GurShabad because previously Guru Ji states ਗਾਵਨਿ ਤੁਧਨੋ ਇੰਦ੍ਰ ਇੰਦ੍ਰਾਸਣਿ ਬੈਠੇ ਦੇਵਤਿਆ ਦਰਿ ਨਾਲੇ ॥ gaavan thudhhano ei(n)dhr ei(n)dhraasan bait(h)ae dhaevathiaa dhar naalae | All the devtas singh your praises and are sitting/beggiby Sukhdeep Singh - Gurmat Discussion Forum
I do not know much about Gurbani Grammar so please address the following with as much detail as possible. If a word has a sihari does it mean the word is a verb. Also how does one determine if the verb is past, present or future. Generally one can take the other words Guru mentions and see if the word is past , present or future, but how about in certain pangtia where it is not so easy to dby Sukhdeep Singh - Gurmat Discussion Forum

I think God has used previous devotees as servants to fight injustice . If we take a look at some of the Religions and their prophets they all fought against injustice. Krishna helped Arjan fight a just war, Jesus went out to destroy tyrannical Roman empire,MUhammad went out to destroy the pagan worshipers who tried to repress Monotheism. Guru Sahib also fought against Mughal and Baman Tyrants.by Sukhdeep Singh - Gurmat Discussion Forum

Bhai Harpreet SIngh Ji I dont know much about Gurmat Bibek, but I have always thought Gurmat Bibek consists of all part of a Gursikh life.
