Sukhdeep Singh Jee, everyday we read in the Ardas and remember those two Shaheed Gursikhs Bhai Subegh Singh Jee and Bhai Shahbaz Singh Jee (Charkriaan te Charre). They worked for the Mughals in Lahore Suba during the most difficult period in the Panth's history when most Sikhs had to live in jungles. These two are honoured to this day.by GSC733 - Gurmat Discussion Forum
I think Bhai Triloka Jee was already working for the Mughals before he became a Sikh. The Mughals during the time of Akbar were not so bad I think. They were tolerant until Jahangir came to power.by GSC733 - Gurmat Discussion Forum
Really sad to read this. Indian army was worse than the Mughal or Afghan army could ever be.by GSC733 - Gurmat Discussion Forum
A very good article by Kulbir SIngh Jee. Vaheguru is without an equal. Only he is worthy of praise and worship.by GSC733 - Gurmat Discussion Forum
Kulbir Singh Jee has raised some valid points. Recently I have also noticed Shakti'ism making its way into the Panth. Of all the Shakti’ism philosophies it is probably the concept of Shiv-Shakti of Kashmiri Shaivism which is making the biggest inroads. In the process Dasam Bani is the biggest victim of misinterpretation by the Sikh veers who are the promoters of Shiv Shakti and Kashmiri Shaivitby GSC733 - Gurmat Discussion Forum
What a blessed and great Chardi Kala Shaheed he was. Thanks for posting this. Quote On the evening of June 1st, the firing ended and a message was sent to the fallen warrior's mother and father. On the afternoon of June 2nd, the mother and father arrived from Yamunanagar at Nanak Nivaas, despite the curfew. Mata jee saw her son and said "Son, you've fulfilled your promise. Just from his face you can tell he was such a Naam Abhyasi Singh.by GSC733 - Gurmat Discussion Forum
These are some very interesting facts brought forward by Bhai Kulbir Singh jee. I never thought of this before. I'm learning something new from this site everyday.by GSC733 - Gurmat Discussion Forum
I just love the kavita from Sohan Singh Seetal and Kulbir Singh. Punjabi pingal is almost a lost art. No one takes the time to learn it anymore.by GSC733 - Gurmat Discussion Forum
If a Brahmgiani ultimately merges with Vaheguru losing it's individuality completely, and we all know that the Gurus were Brahmgianis does that mean that our Gurus no longer exist? Baba Deep Singh Jee, Baba Banda Singh Bahadur, bhai Taru Singh Jee and other great Singhs of our history are regarded as Brahmgianis, yet so many Singhs have had visions of Shaheed Singh including Baba Deep Singh Jby GSC733 - Gurmat Discussion Forum
I think they are the same. If I am not wrong I think that maybe that maybe Padshah is used by Turkic speaking people of Central Asia and Batshah is used by Persian speaking people of Iran and Afghanistan. This is my guess.by GSC733 - Gurmat Discussion Forum
Sukhdeep Singh Jee, I wish I could sing this shabad, unfortunately I don't know how to do kirtan.by GSC733 - Gurmat Discussion Forum
This is India's justice system.by GSC733 - Gurmat Discussion Forum
I agree, this is yet another article that truly represents Khalsa point of view of Shastars. Many veers for some strange reason think that doing actual pooja of Shastars is Gurmat. Singhs should also know how to at least use the 3ft Kirpan and for that we should get training.by GSC733 - Gurmat Discussion Forum
4th Invasion By Ahmed Shah Abdali (Durrani) 1764 is so inspirational. So many invasions and massacres in Sikh history, yet Sikh Panth has survived is only a miracle of Guru Jee. Otherwise it seems impossible that such a small Panth could have survived all this persecution and massecres and eventually rule over North India against all odds. Hopefully Guru jee will do kirpa and establish Khalsby GSC733 - Gurmat Discussion Forum
Overtime Yogis can obtain many Ridhi Sidhis. Many Sikh Saints throughout history have become spiritual masters such as Bhai Randhir Singh jee. When Bhai Randhir Singh Jee did not eat for 40 days, he could have easily have survived without food or water, but despite being spiritually advanced he did not see the need to use his spiritual powers in such a condition and let his body get weak due toby GSC733 - Gurmat Discussion Forum
This shabad displays the utmost devotion. Real Prema Bhakti. It must sound good in kirtan.by GSC733 - Gurmat Discussion Forum
I think that maybe the Shaheedi of Baba Bir Singh Jee and so many of his companions is probably what shook the foundation of Khalsa Raaj. Otherwise Khalsa army was invincible in battle, yet they lost to the British due to treachery on the part of Dogras the very same Dogras under whose orders Baba Bir Singh Jee was Shaheed.by GSC733 - Gurmat Discussion Forum
These are such civilised men compared to the modern Sikhs who would do all sorts of Nindya Chugli and even pull each other’s beards and dastars if they had rivalry.by GSC733 - Gurmat Discussion Forum
Sikhs in the recent few weeks have been getting a lot of bad press. I wish Sikhs of Canada can form some sort of organisation to counter point by point each article written which unjustly shows Sikhs in bad light.by GSC733 - Gurmat Discussion Forum
in Indian tradition, doing prakarma and even doing Dandaut is a sign of ultimate respect. I think Bhai Gurdas Jee mentions Krishan Ji doing Prakarma and Dandaut around Sudhama.by GSC733 - Gurmat Discussion Forum

The Akali in this story and the Akali from Maharaja Ranjit Singh's story are both examples of how Gursikhs should be. Their power and courage came from Simran and Paath.by GSC733 - Gurmat Discussion Forum
