Khalsa jee, Last weekend someone stopped me at the Gurdwara and said that Daas' vichaar on Guru Nanak Dev Jee isn't in line with Gurmat. They said that Daas quoted, "ਸਭ ਤੇ ਵਡਾ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਨਾਨਕੁ ਜਿਨਿ ਕਲ ਰਾਖੀ ਮੇਰੀ " to mean "The Greatest is Satguru Nanak Dev Jee, who saved me in Kalyug (because he united me with Akaal Purakh)". Vaheguru Jee. Channel 4 (one of the main TV channels in UK) are doing 2 or 4 minute documentaries leading up to Christmas about how different religions perceive Jesus or their reflections on Jesus. For this reason Daas sought the advice of the Sangat. Thanks for the vichaar so far.by Manvir Singh - Gurmat Discussion Forum
Khalsa Jee, Daas has been asked to share thoughts about Jesus from a Sikh Perspective. Could Sangat kindly share their thoughts. Thanks Manvir Singhby Manvir Singh - Gurmat Discussion Forum
Vaheguru Jee. A non-Sikh was asking me about reincarnation. She asked whether there are a set amount of souls or new souls created? Where does a soul start from (i.e. which joon)? Can the Sangat please give their learned views on the topic. Thanks Manvir Singhby Manvir Singh - Gurmat Discussion Forum
"Degh is not distributed to individuals on their palms but all new Amritdharis eat from the same Baata. " Can you clarify what you mean Bhai Sahib jee? Isn't Degh distributed into people's hand during Amrit Sanchaar? How else would they receive it? Thanksby Manvir Singh - Gurmat Discussion Forum
Bhai Mehtab Singh jee your vichaar makes sense. So is it suggesting that oneday everyone will eventually "meet the Khalsa" (which we will assume to me take Amrit or adopt Rehit?)?by Manvir Singh - Gurmat Discussion Forum
The reason I asked the question because I was listening to Kathaa and the Bhai Sahib was saying that swans eat pearls and refuse to eat anything else - they will starve to death but not eat anything else other than pearls. He compared this to the Manmukh who eats everything and eats bad foods like fish and meat etc.by Manvir Singh - Gurmat Discussion Forum
Someone told me that they heard some Kathaa being broadcoasted on TV from Gurdwara Manji Sahib in Amritsar. The Kathaavachik was doing vichaar on the last lines of the Dohraa (which are from Bhai Nand Lal jee's Thankhaahnama and some say Bhai Bala Janam Saakhi also). We should recite the same Bani's in the same order as were recited during the preparation of Khande-dee-Pahul to experience and enjoy Amrit Rass that we experienced when we took Amrit during Amrit Sanchaar.by Manvir Singh - Gurmat Discussion Forum

A Gursikh told me that Nitnem of 7 Banian should be completed within the 8 Pehar of the day (i.e. within the 24 hours of the day). In regards to Sohila Sahib. From the vichaar from elder Gursikhs they told Daas that Sohilaa Sahib is intended to be recited before going to sleep (i.e. the main sleep you have). Khalsa jee, has anyone considered that the SriDasam.org website may be showing a typo or technical error in not displaying the "pair de vich rarraa". This can sometimes happen with online banis because of technicalities.by Manvir Singh - Gurmat Discussion Forum
Thank you Bhai Sahib. Daas sneezes usually when going inside the bathroom to brush teeth etc. Bathroom floor is not marble or anything and is not cold. Doing ishnaan (inc. kesi ishnaan) is fine. When sitting down to do Abhiaas I need to keep tissues on stand by because I sneeze or nose runs. Sometimes I get reshaa and need to clear throat. It's weird since I posted on forum I haven't sneezed (by Manvir Singh - Gurmat Discussion Forum
Guru Pyaario Daas sneezes a lot at Amrit Velaa and has a bunged up nose. Does anyone know any remedies? I try taking hayfever medicine and cold medicine night before but doesn't work. I have this problem all year around. Thanksby Manvir Singh - Gurmat Discussion Forum
Once Daas was invited by a Gursikh family to do Sevaa of the Sangat at at their local Gurdwara Sahib. I spoke to the family and explained that Daas's Rehat in regards to food and they happily said that they would make sure that food Daas was served was made by Amritdharis. After the programme finished a young Bibi jee approached me and said she had questions which she wanted answering. Oneby Manvir Singh - Gurmat Discussion Forum
Guru Pyaari'o I found that young Gursikhs trying to observe a level of Gurmat Bibek for food (whether it be only eating food prepared by Amritdharis or eating from Sarbloh utensils or any other level of Bibek) are often questioned by their parents, family, and members of the Sangat about why they are doing this, wanting justification for this behaviour. Another question posed by someone: "During Guru Nanak Dev Jee and Guru Angad Dev Jee's Gurgaddi there used to be meat in the Langar. Only when Guru Amar Daas jee became Guru, did the Langar become vegetarian because Guru Amar Daas Jee was a vegetarian and thought it was wrong that not all could partake in Langar and it was rude to not eat what is given.
