In one of the kathas by Giani Avtar Singh Ji, named "Sikhi di Rehit", he mentioned about the pre-mature death of a youth in a family, which requested for Sri Akhand Paath Sahib be done at their home. The reason for the Akhand Paath was that a young man (youth) in the family had recently died. After his death, the soul of the young man was wandering and eventually the soul possessed his brotherby jpsingh77 - Gurmat Discussion Forum
Dear Sadh Sangat Jeo, Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa, Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh! I've tried to get a copy of Andithi Duniya in English (from Punjab and Delhi), but haven't been successful so far. I was made to understand that the enlgish translation was done by private funding from Canada sangat; hence it may not be easy to get the english translation in India. Dear Sadh Sangat Jeo, Due to Waheguru Ji's kirpa and to some extent due to the inspiration from this forum (and especially Bhai Kulbir Singh Jeo), dass is blessed with the thought of keeping the keski. Dass was thiking on similar lines few days back, and the following came to the mind: There have been various instances where chardi-kala Singhs (even Brahmgyanis) have directly sought answers from Guru Sahibaans regarding some maryadas. Some instances that come to mind are: Baba Harnam Singh Ji Rampur -Khera wale sought Baba Budhha Ji's directions as to the correct vidhi of taking Hukamnaby jpsingh77 - Gurmat Discussion Forum
I know for sure that there is such a sakhi...In fact it was referred to by Bhai Guriqbal Singh Ji during one of his kathas. That's why I'm keen to know the details Anyone please?by jpsingh77 - Gurmat Discussion Forum
Mehtab Singh Jeo, I wanted to get clarification for the deo/alcohol use as I noticed alcohol mentioned as one of the contents. If you are not willing to give any thought to it, please feel free not to post any comment. But there is ABSOLUTELY NO RESON to be sarcastic about it, as the post was made in good faith and not for the sake of argument! In my humble opinion, it is better to clarifby jpsingh77 - Gurmat Discussion Forum
Dear Sadh Sangat Ji, I came across a reference to a Sakhi of the time of Guru Amar Das Ji regarding Rehras Sahib. I think it potrays if one doesn't do Rehras Sahib, he is thrown out of Dargah in the evening (something like that!). Has anyone heard/read about this Sakhi? Can you please share the sakhi in detail please? Thanks!by jpsingh77 - Gurmat Discussion Forum
I believe there is some amount of alcohol content in most of the perfumes/deo(s). Hence is it in line with Gurmat to use such things? How about the practical aspect of the need of such things in our day-to-day life? Thanks, -JPby jpsingh77 - Gurmat Discussion Forum
Bhai Sahib Kulbir Singh Jeo, Thanks for dwelling into this topic! May I request for your learned opinion (and of other Gurmukhs on this forum) on the situation where the amrit is re-chhakked! Does the above principle still holds good for the second time when after amrit chhak, one does some bujjar-kurehit, and then realizing his mistake, repents for it and re-chhakkes the amrit? Thank you Tejas Veer Jeo & 1Kaur Bhein Ji, for your kind inputs and comments! But is there any way to know whether the sin has been forgiven by Waheguru Ji? Or must we necessarily need to wait to go to Dharam Rai...where we'll come to know about "kachh pakayi...". Also, how does this get effected when we re-take the amrit? Surly, there would be some positive effect, right? Kulbir Singhby jpsingh77 - Gurmat Discussion Forum
Dear Sadh Sangat Ji, On previous occassions also, few posts have been put by various people asking similar questions; however no clear response has been got (may be, because there is no clear response to this!). Anyways, my humble query is, if a person has done grave sins in the past (including maybe, even bujjar-kurehits), and then eventually realizing his mistakes again gets initiated intby jpsingh77 - Gurmat Discussion Forum

I've always been confused about one thing... We should only consider Guru Granth Sahib Ji as our only true, living guru! We MUST NOT consider any other human being as a Guru. This much is clear and must be followed diligently. On one hand we (rightly) condemn those who follow different deras and start considering them as Guru! However, if we follow any "Sant", aren't we simply following Wahby jpsingh77 - Gurmat Discussion Forum

Dear Sadh Sangat Ji, In Sukhmani Sahib, in numerous places, there is a mention of a "Sant", including in two dedicated ashpatis. Dass just want to understand how will one define a "Sant"? Who is a Sant and how is he different from a "Brahmgyani"? Thanks, -JPby jpsingh77 - Gurmat Discussion Forum
Sadh Sangat Ji, This is one of the very few forums where the quality of posts reflect the spiritual maturity of most of the posters; hence I value the comments I read here. I agree with the original poster, "Amritwela Ji". For someone like me who is not very proficient in Punjabi, but would dearly like to get 'laha' of Bhai Sahib's vast knowledge through his books, such translations to English would be very beneficial.
