Allah, Raam, Gopal etc. are attributive Names of God whereas Vaheguru is a personal name. Allah in Gurbani and Allah in Quran are not the same. In former, it refers to Gurmat concept of God whereas in latter it is a God that is separate and outside of creation. I think Allah of Quran is not a deity like Vishnu or Shiva but refers to One God in spite of giving a false description.by Bijla Singh - Gurmat Discussion Forum
While I completely agree that the useless Akali Party especially Baldev Singh and Tara Singh made a huge blunder by not accepting a separate Sikh State, but the blame of Punjab problem cannot be put on them. Recently, BJP has started to advocate Rajiv-Longowal Accord and pushed the demand for transferring Chandigarh to Punjab as it is listed in the accord. But this move of the BJP is not for the benefit of the Punjab State. It will further dwarf the exploited and crippled State. Quotenor are they interested in living in a theocracy. Do you assume yourself to be a spokesperson of every Sikh in Punjab and India? Subash Kirpekar one of the journalists, who met Bhindranwale on June 3 after the army had surrounded the Temple complex, asked him if he feared death. Bhindranwale replied, “One who fears death is not a Sikh.” He insisted that he was not responsi¬ble for the murders which had brought the army to the gates of the Golden Temple. QuoteThat's why I started questioning the big jathebandis. These organisations set such high standards and expectations in terms of rehat but their membership is failing the jathebandis. You are opening a big can of worms by asking this question because the root causes of this very problem lie within the same jathas resulting in the prevailing pathetic condition of the Panth. I do not personally know anything about you so my comments are general and only my personal opinions. I won’t speak to why many Gursikhs choose to marry within their own “caste” or tribe but the solution is very simple for you. Look elsewhere to find a match. This is a recent miracle that occurred at Harmandar Sahib about a month ago. An eye witness personally told me this account. There were about 4 guys in their early 20s who made a bet that whoever was able to walk through the women’s bathing place would get 200,000 rupees. The condition was that he must enter through one door and exit through the other. One guy touted himself to be brave enougby Bijla Singh - Gurmat Discussion Forum

I don’t think anyone can speak on behalf of Vaheguru. He is completely independent Being but full of mercy. So one thing we can be sure of is that He is forgiving and there isn’t anything that He cannot forgive. That being said, the method of forgiveness is different than other religions. Love is certainly care-free but a person who is in love with Vaheguru will think nothing of himself and only focus on pleasing Vaheguru. In love, we give up ourselves for the one we love and put our loved ones before us. Love is self-sacrifice not a selfish act. This is true love and Gurmat fully advocates it. I think a middle line should be followed on this issue. While I agree Sikhs should switch to solar calendar I am opposed to using 1999 dates. We know many original dates from Guru time period and discarding them to keep a 1999 year standard does not sound smart at all. If we want to convert the dates then we must keep original solar dates i.e. 30 March for Vaisakhi etc. Good thing about Bikarmi cby Bijla Singh - Gurmat Discussion Forum
