This is indeed good news and hopefully the entire village comes in Sikhi fold. I am curious to know more details about the smagam that was held there. How was it arranged? Why that area particularly? Was parchaar done in Hindi? Is there a plan to hold similar smagams in other areas/states? Has any system of providing dasvandh been setup so these Sikhs could have better education, Sikhi literatureby Bijla Singh - Gurmat Discussion Forum
This is a great effort by Singhs. It gives a great pleasure to see people coming into Sikhi. AKJ should continue the parchaar with more vigor and force. Chardi Kala.by Bijla Singh - Gurmat Discussion Forum
A correction. I wrote "It is noteworthy that the gurpurab never came in 1999 in Bikarmi calendar." It is solar calendar or Gregorian calendar year 1999 in which there was no gurpurab. It is better to keep one calendar only. I prefer solar and fixing all the dates to the original ones.by Bijla Singh - Gurmat Discussion Forum
QuoteWhat was the need for implementing the Nanakshahi calendar (Purewal)? To fix the dates of gurpurabs which keep shifting from year to year. Sometimes we get one gurpurab twice in a year and sometimes no gurpurab at all. Bikarmi calendar is lunar so all dates are not fixed. Majority of the Panth doesn’t even know desi months let alone sudi vadi. Majority of the world uses solar calendar whby Bijla Singh - Gurmat Discussion Forum

The biggest proof of falsehood of all such human gurus is their inability to foresee their death and failure to appoint a successor. Ignorant namdharis will be looking for a new physical body to follow just to see the cycle repeat again. There is a work around for sihari. When I insert the sihari, I can press backspace and type the next letters. Then it searches fine. But this doesn’t work for bihari. Also, if I want to edit a word, it doesn’t let me do that. It starts backspacing from the very end rather than from where I want it to. This should be fixed. By the way, this is a great seva. The app is working fine on my phone. When I do a search and select a Shabad from the list, it eliminates all the searches. I have to restart all over again. It would be a nice feature for the app to retain the search so that I can go back and select a different Shabad. Also, sihari and bihari do not get attached to the letter. From Vaars it is pretty clear that Charanamrit involved two things: water obtained from washing Guru’s feet and reciting Gurbani. There are many pauris in Vaars that refer to Charanamrit as washing Guru’s feet. There is nothing wrong with it nor is there any Gurmat principle that rejects it. There might be deeper mystical meaning to it as well just like in Gur Kay Charan Dhoe Dhoe Peeva(n).by Bijla Singh - Gurmat Discussion Forum
Being in Panj Pyare means physically representing Guru Sahib. In other words, it is a position of leadership and requires certain physical activities to be performed such as sitting in Bir Aasan and other already explained. Sukhdeep Singh Ji, this is my understanding as well. Creation and the Creator are not identical. In past few months, I had the chance to read some books on Sikh theology. One thing that is glaringly same in all of them is the way they interpret some of the Gurbani shabads very literally. While there are many subjects I disagree with about God, I would like to focus on just one particular aspect for now: Whether God has many forms or not. I don’t know about multiple Birhs since there is no evidence provided by any scholar I know. But if what Giani Gurdit Singh has written is correct then Bhai Kahan Singh and Bhai Jodh Singh both examined the same Birh Sahib which was tampered with in 1924 by a group which Pandit Kartar Singh was also a part of. Bhai Sahib Ji, Bhai Kahan Singh Nabha in his own letter doesn’t reject authenticity of the Birh Sahib. His proof of its authenticity is that there is a blank Ang between the total count and Raag Maala. Bhai Kulbir Singh Ji, you raise good points. More research needs to be done on Birh Sahib while keeping the Raag Maala issue out. Unfortunately, two have become inseparable.
