Haanji perhaps one day they will realise the true science. Daas remembers doing a radio interview last year. Before the interview the presenter wanted to meet for a quick chat to understand about basic principles of Sikhism. During the discussion she kept asking one question how do you entertain yourself. We all are already aware of big focus on tobacco ban in the western countries these days. Something that Guru sahib banned for a Sikh is being realised as harmful to health by both the medics and politicians now. One day all the fake missionary preachers in Sikhism who are tryby akaal74 - Gurmat Discussion Forum
As per the gurbani a Sikh seeks the dust of the feet of gurmukhs who come to seek the darshan of Guru sahib. Based on this logic it is a common practice in India to touch the floor near the jora ghar (place to keep the shoes) or the entrance of the Gurdwara sahib with forehead. Idea is to get the dust or charan dhoor. This is a sign of humility and nimaanapan. But over time looking at how theby akaal74 - Gurmat Discussion Forum

Daas has the book at home and posted the above message from work. I will try to scan and upload the image later today. Agreed Bhai Jodh Singh did not compare but only wrote about the pyaar between the singhs. The above example also shows the immense love and mutual respect the mahapurkhs had for each other.by akaal74 - Gurmat Discussion Forum
This post is not about the food but about naam abhyaas. Following was narrated to daas by a singh. Daas believed this to be true story as it will be hard to believe that the singh who narrated this incident could lie. Bhai Jodh Singh (Delhi) in his book Tvareek Akhand Kirtani Jatha mentions one meeting of Bhai Randhir Singh and Sant Gurbachan Singh. Issue is not with the logic as Bhai Kawaljit Singh pointed out. Issue is with the tunnel vision of the modern missionary parchaarak who seem to consider themselves as the most certified medical/scientific/technological gianis. Where as all they have done all their lives is to find flaws with the kudrat. Few years ago there were some news stories about buddhist monks burning themselves. Dass is concerned about writing Gurbani on paper unless it is for purpose of preparing a binded saroop or nitnem gutka. Is it ok to practice on white board as you can rub it off afterwards thus not having to worry about the satkaar for keeping piles of paper with gurbani written on them? Or will rubbing it off the board not be in accordance with Gurmat?by akaal74 - Gurmat Discussion Forum
KhalsaNews link suggests that the writing is of Prof Darshan. It has some of the common phrases he uses during katha. This article displays the agyaanata of the modern day philosophers. The way Ragis and sangat do the dhuni in AKJ samagams these days is a totally different topic but this article rejects the notion of Naam abhyaas completely. Bhai Sahib Randhir Singh once commented that instead of Sikhs trying to set up educational institutes, hospitals they should concentrate on the Dharam.
