What about if someone works night shifts?by DarbarDaKookar - Gurmat Discussion Forum
This Shabad is one that really sticks in my mind but I don't have much of an idea about what it means. The Punjabi and English translations I've read don't really seem to make much sense to me either. I would greatly appreciate it if someone could do Vichaar of this Shabad. das hath jor ke benti karda: ਪਹਿਲ ਪੁਰੀਏ ਪੁੰਡਰਕ ਵਨਾ ॥ ਤਾ ਚੇ ਹੰਸਾby DarbarDaKookar - Gurmat Discussion Forum
QuoteGuru Sahib's jyot is present only in Guru Sahib and Bhagat Sahibaan don't have the Guru's Jyot in the sense as Guru Sahibaan have it. The Bhagats, by doing Gurmat Bhagti, became one with Vaheguru jee and this way by the Kirpa of Guru Sahib, they were able to bring Baani from Sachkhand. While Gurbani is a roop of Guru Sahibaan, it's not a roop of Bhagats but Guru Sahib enabled them to bring Bby DarbarDaKookar - Gurmat Discussion Forum

Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa, Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh With Bhagat Bani and the Sawaiye being a part of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji Maharaj, does that mean that Guru Sahib's Jot was present in the Bhagat Sahiban and Bhatt Sahiban when they recited the Gurbani? Personally, there's nothing wrong with Dharmic songs from Immortal Productions. I still listen to them sometimes but anything that's not about Sikhi Ithihaas or Gurbani Vichar actually has a negative effect on Naam Ras that is obtained through Simran and Gurbani. At least for me anyways. I remember when Humble the Poet released his first song people were talking about how he is spreading a posby DarbarDaKookar - Gurmat Discussion Forum
Personally, when I was a mona I used to compose and write rap songs too but then I started doing Anand Sahib and realized that Guru Sahib was speaking to me: ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਬਿਨਾ ਹੋਰ ਕਚੀ ਹੈ ਬਾਣੀ ॥by DarbarDaKookar - Gurmat Discussion Forum
Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa, Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh. Sorry, I don't think I said what I wanted to say properly. What I meant by participating in the Sadh Sangat was that doing Simran and singing and listening to Kirtan is in itself the greatest Sewa. Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa, Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh. I once asked a great Gursikh the question: What exactly is Gur Sewa? I was told that the greatest Sewa of all is participating in the Sadh Sangat as Guru Sahib says: ਮੇਰੇ ਮਾਧਉ ਜੀ ਸਤਸੰਗਤਿ ਮਿਲੇ ਸੁ ਤਰਿਆ ॥ ਗੁਰ ਪਰਸਾਦਿ ਪਰਮ ਪਦੁ ਪਾਇਆ ਸੂਕੇ ਕਾਸby DarbarDaKookar - Gurmat Discussion Forum
Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa, Waheguru ji Ki Fateh. Bhai Kulbir Singh Ji, In the Shabad you posted previously, Guru Sahib says: ਜਾ ਕਉ ਭਏ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾਲ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾ ਨਿਧਿ ॥ ਤਿਸੁ ਭਈ ਖਲਾਸੀ ਹੋਈ ਸਗਲ ਸਿਧਿ ॥ ਗੁਰਿ ਦੁਬਿਧਾ ਜਾ ਕੀ ਹੈ ਮਾਰੀ ॥ ਕਹੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਸੋ ਬ੍ਰਹby DarbarDaKookar - Gurmat Discussion Forum

Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa, Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh Sadh Sangat Ji, I've been reading this message board for about a year now and it has helped me in a great way to get on the Path of Sikhi. There's one question that has been on my mind for some time but I couldn't find clear answer anywhere. I thought it would be a simple question to answer for some on this board so I decided to join and ask here.by DarbarDaKookar - Gurmat Discussion Forum
