Thank you for the suggestion, I will definitely check them out. Is there anyone else that you would recommend when it comes to Raag based Kirtan?by DarbarDaKookar - Gurmat Discussion Forum
Looking back at the posts made by "sikh.learner" on the forum, something makes me think that they have accomplished their goal by sparking this debate. Bhul Chuk Maafi Jiby DarbarDaKookar - Gurmat Discussion Forum
QuotePreetam Singh You can use normal dish washing soap and use a steel gauge and maybe some citric acid or lemon juice. After washing the Kara make sure you dry it with a towel and then wear it. That might help with your problem. Preetam Singh I tried this and I noticed that the rash and irritation stopped once the Kara was cleaned. I'm also noticing that as the Kara starts to rust thenby DarbarDaKookar - Gurmat Discussion Forum
The picture was taken in a room with dim light so that may be why it appears dark. I'll try cleaning it and see what happens. Thank you all so much.by DarbarDaKookar - Gurmat Discussion Forum

I myself got inspired to do more Simran and read more Bani after reading "Gurmat Naam Abhiyaas Kamaayee" and "Charan Kamal Ki Mauj" by Bhai Sahib Bhai Randhir Singh Ji, even though I'm not AKJ. I don't understand how some Singhs can have the audacity to say that Bhai Sahib Bhai Randhir Singh Ji got rejected from Sachkhand when Bhai Sahib Bhai Randhir Singh Ji was referred to as a Sachkhand Vasi bby DarbarDaKookar - Gurmat Discussion Forum

Great post, Bhai Kulbir Singh Ji. Personally, I believe in Raagmala as per Hukam of Panj Pyarey but I have complete respect for GurSikhs who follow the Hukam of Panj Pyarey and don't believe in Raagmala. One thing that doesn't make sense about Jagowala Jatha is that they've been singing about the 1978 Shaheed Singhs, Shaheed Jathedar Bhai Sukhdev Singh Babbar, Shaheed Bhai Anokh Singh Babbar andby DarbarDaKookar - Gurmat Discussion Forum
Quotenimana It is unfortunate that some Taksal Singhs always put down Bhai Sahib by associating him with Panch Khalsa divan but ignore the fact that Shiromani Sant, Sant Attar Singh Mastuanevale and Shiromani vidhvaans like Bhai Kahn Singh Nabha and Pandit Kartar Singh Dakha were also part of this organization. If Bhai Sahib did not believe in Ragmala, but why do you ignore the fact that Sant Attby DarbarDaKookar - Gurmat Discussion Forum
One thing that helps me is eating healthy food and drinking water or milk when I have cravings. Like if I'm craving pakorey but I eat a banana and drink milk instead, then the craving and hunger both go away. Another thing I've noticed is that I have less cravings when I'm properly hydrated. Hope that helps.by DarbarDaKookar - Gurmat Discussion Forum
QuoteKulbir Singh Could you please provide reference to the above statements e.g. that Babu Teja Singh added Saloks of Mahalla 6, 7 and 8 or that he changed Basant ki Vaar? I don't really know much about Babu Teja Singh but I heard this too in Sant Gurbachan Singh Ji Khalsa Bhindranwale's Basant Ki Vaar katha.by DarbarDaKookar - Gurmat Discussion Forum
QuoteKulbir Singh According to Vedic literature too, if one does 100 Ashavmedh Yagya, then that person can qualify to become an Indra and this is why Indra always used to create hurdles in the way of achieving Yagya or other such penances. This goes to show just how great of a blessing it is to be a Sikh. Other religions perform all kinds of rituals just for material things, like this exampleby DarbarDaKookar - Gurmat Discussion Forum
Waheguru Ji, I've made this mistake before where I've told people of other faiths that all religions lead to the same destination, especially when I first got into Sikhi. After reading your article "gsingh" Ji, I think a better thing to say to someone of another faith would be that above all, remembering God and singing God's praises is the most important thing to do, regardless of what religionby DarbarDaKookar - Gurmat Discussion Forum
I don't think such posters should even be posted in a public forum such as this one. There's too much pakhand to pay attention to all of it so I think it's best to ignore things like this and just try to strengthen our own Jeevans. These people's time will come. Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa, Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh. This question comes from reading Bhai Kulbir Singh Ji's riddle about 22 Vaars. Bhai Sahib Ji talks about the Anand that comes from reading all 22 Vaars and I just wanted to know what is the overall message that Guru Sahib is giving us in Basant Ki Vaar? Since it is relatively short, it would be easy for someone like myself to include it in Nitnem anby DarbarDaKookar - Gurmat Discussion Forum
Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa, Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh. Sadh Sangat Ji, right now I wear a Taksali Sri Sahib but I want to get one that is more well-crafted and sharp. I have a couple of questions regarding the Sri Sahib. Firstly, does the handle have to be Sarbloh as well or is it ok for just the blade to be Sarbloh? Secondly, what's the best type of Sri Sahib to get for actual use in case I ever find mby DarbarDaKookar - Gurmat Discussion Forum
Thank you for the advice Bhai Sahib Ji. Some members in my family are starting to read Gurbani and go to the Gurdwara. One thing I'm really trying to work on is patience. That's been an area of weakness for me even before I took Amrit. I'm realizing too that getting frustrated and angry really has a negative effect on how much Anand I get out of Naam Simran and Gurbani.by DarbarDaKookar - Gurmat Discussion Forum
Waheguru Ji aka Khalsa, Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh I'm the only Amritdhari in my family and sometime family members will say things to me or do things that could be considered disrespectful to Sikhi. Some family members act like this more than others and it's easy to tell when someone said something by mistake vs saying it on purpose. I used to get really frustrated but now I'm starting to become moby DarbarDaKookar - Gurmat Discussion Forum
This is the first Rainsabai I went to. At 23:20 was when I realized that I needed to take Amrit as soon as possible. The whole recording is a must listen.by DarbarDaKookar - Gurmat Discussion Forum
Best way for me to describe it is that I really started to feel and understand that I don't read Bani myself and Guru Sahib speaks it to me themselves. Obviously though words don't do it justice and everyone has different experiences. Bhul Chuk Maafiby DarbarDaKookar - Gurmat Discussion Forum
