The Jagowale Jatha (Willenhall, Wolverhampton, UK) and DharamYudh Jatha (Tividale, Birmingham, UK) splinter groups of Damdami Taksal are well known for causing controversy in UK.
They look down upon anyone who doesn't follow their schools Maryada. Jagowale has got serious allegations against him so should not be allowed to be even speaking on Panthic Stages. It's very funny as the there have been countless Smagams where Ragmalaa hasn't been read and on live broadcast, but only now it's been made a very massive deal.
Dr. Jodh Singh shared that Singhs asked Baba Jarnail Singh Ji Bhindranwale to change the Maryada at Sri Akal Takht Sahib. However Baba jee replied that personal Maryada of their School should not be imposed to the Takht Sahib and other Gurdwaras. Baba jee is a good role model of Panthic thought and if we all had this appreciation of Sri Akaal Takht Sahib and the Panth there would be less infighting and a common ground for public unity and uniformity.
Panthik Rehat MaryadaTaking account of the Ragmala controversy, the first edition of the Sikh Rahit Maryada ratified at Sri Akal Takht Sahib in 1936 stated that bhog of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji’s paatth should be perfomed after Mundavani.

However, in 1945 amendments were made by the Dharmic Salahkar Committee of the SGPC, that stated that bhog should be performed at “Mundavani or after Ragmala, according to local practice.” The concessions for allowing the reading of Ragmala were made in the spirit of Panthic harmony.
