Look at this prampra, at the time of Sri Guru Hargobind and Sri Guru Gobind Singh Paatshah Sri Guru jee asked Singhs to bring horses to prepare for battle but in recent time Baba Jairnail Singh Jee asked Singh's to keep motorcycles to be ready for Jang. Does that mean Baba Jee broke Guru Sahib's prampra of horses?

Conformism is not the answer for anything.
Quote
We have our heritage and we need to retain that. Sikh history testifies that Guru
sahib asked sikhs to assemble on amawas and pooranmasi so that sikh teachings are propagated. Sikhs continue to do that
not that these are auspicious days but to follow traditions of Guru period.
Quote
Likewise Bikrami calendar is our heritage.Had it been a bad one our gurus would not have followed it.
Quote
It is purewal's calendar which bundle many gurpurabs (sometimes two or three) on a single day.Do not blame it on dhumma for ills of Purewal calendar.

May be tommorrow sikhs migrate to Muslim countries in large numbers.THose countries have their own calendar and Friday is their
weekend. Some sikh from there may say Muslim calendar is better.Shall we start following that?

Those who like conformism may do
so on individual basis and should not run down panthic traditions.

There are some things which were not created by Guru Jee but being touched by Guru Jee, it became a part of Sikh tradition. Now land of Punjab was in existance much before our Gurus became physically Pargat in this world, but because this land is the land of our Gurus, Shaheeds and itihaasik Gur Asthaans, land of Punjab has sentimental value for the Sikh people, no other land in the world can replace the sentimental value Punjab holds in the hearts of the Sikhs people.
Another example of something that existed before our Gurus became pargat is of the Punjabi language which our Gurus spoke in or even Gurmukhi script which is based on the old Landa script. Some modifications were made on it and it was then used by our Guru Sahib in writing Gurbani. This is the reason Gurmukhi script holds a special religious value for the Sikhs. Today Sikhs feel they are duty bound to protect this script and Punjabi language so much so that we cannot imagine writing Punjabi in any other script no matter how better or logical it may seem.

Bhai Sahib Jio, you say Nanakshahi calendar is more accurate and so it is more logical.
Quote
But somethings are beyond the scope of logic derived from scientific measurements. What a Sikh feels for something that is touched by our Gurus cannot be measured by logic. You can only feel it.
Quote
Look at it this way, Guru Sahib gave kakkars to His Sikhs. Can we replace wooden Kanga with a plastic Kanga? or can a stainless steel Kirpan replace our Sarbloh Kirpan because it makes more sense in today's advance world to do so? No we can't.
Quote
At least Sikhs should celebrate the Gurpurabs according to Bikrami because this is how our Gurus and Brahmgianis for the last 500 years have celebrated it. OH Sikhs! why would you want to do something differently than them? If it was accurate for them then it it is accurate for us too. Since observing Gurpurabs are a religious matter and Gurus only used Bikrami calendar to celebrate Gurpurabs, then Bikrami calendar has also become a religious matter. It is no longer just about a way of measuring time.

Jasjit Singh Jio, the point I was making is, neither is land of Punjab or Punjabi language a creation of Guru Sahib. But we still love Punjab and Punjabi language do we not? we love it because Punjab is the land of our Gurus and Punjabi language is the language they spoke in. Similarly Bikrami calendar was not created by Guru Sahib but it was extensively used Guru Jee and they even blessed it and made it our own when they used the Months of the Bikrami calendar as the bases for Bara Maha Bani.
Quote
Bhai Sahib Jio, have you seen Col Nishan Singh Jee's videos where he tells how this calendar was forced on the Panth largely by the influence of Chandigarh based followers of Gurbaksh Singh Kala Afghana. Even today it is mainly those types of people like missionaries who are pushing for this calendar's re implementation. Those people do not have any Shardha in Bani or Sikh traditions neither do they keep basic rehit. But more importantly what use is such a calendar which has resulted in putting more disunity in the Panth.

Sikhs were following Purewal calendar approved by SGPC from 2003 to 2010.Per purewal calendar following gurpurabs were on same day on sept 16, 2010.
September 16th
Joti Jot - Sahib Siri Guru Amar Das Sahib Jee Maharaj
Gurgaddee - Sahib Siri Guru Ram Das Sahib Jee Maharaj
Joti Jot - Sahib Siri Guru Ram Das Sahib Jee Maharaj
Gurgaddee - Sahib Siri Guru Arjan Dev Sahib Jee Maharaj
This is just one example of purewal calendar that has all dates fake not related sikh history.

Listen carefully:
IF YOU PROVE THAT DUMMASHAAP CALENDAR WAS NOT THE CAUSE and IT WAS NANAKSHAHI CALENDAR 2003 WHICH MESSED UP THE DATES OF SAHIBZAADA SHAHEEDI AND GURU SAHIB'S PARKASH PURAB DATES ON DECEMBER 28, 2014 then this DAAS JASJIT SINGH WILL COME TO YOUR FEET AND ACCEPT BIKRAMI CALENDAR TO BE RIGHT CHOICE. OTHERWISE YOU WILL ACCEPT NANAKSHAAHI CALENDAR 2003 IS THE RIGHT CHOICE OR STOP SPREADING FALSE PROPAGANDA.
Now go ahead and prove this.

"Bhai Jasjit Singh Jio
My view on this is, when there is an issue that is causing disunity and problems among Singhs then it is best to resolve the issue by asking ourselves \"what did Guru Jee do\". This is the question a Sikh should always anchor towards when there is dubida in his mind on a subject.
Now Both Bikrami and Nanakshahi supporters agree that our Gurus used Bikrami calendar when they were here physically, this is an undisputed fact. Logically a Sikh should gravitate to opinions to match with what Guru Jee did. Surely when a Sikh does what Guru jee did, he cannot go wrong on the issue. So that is why in my opinion while Nanakshahi supporters may or may not be wrong, but it is for 100% sure that Bikrami supporters are not wrong for using Bikrami calendar, because if they are wrong then that would mean our Gurus were wrong for they also used Bikrami calendar when observing Gurpurabs. And we know for a fact that Guru Jee can never be wrong on anything. They are flawless and infallible in every way while we are not.
In the end Jasjit Singh Jio I really do respect you and I am impressed by your knowledge on this subject.
