Another Miracle at Harmandar Sahib

Posted by Bijla Singh
This is a recent miracle that occurred at Harmandar Sahib about a month ago. An eye witness personally told me this account.
There were about 4 guys in their early 20s who made a bet that whoever was able to walk through the women’s bathing place would get 200,000 rupees. The condition was that he must enter through one door and exit through the other. One guy touted himself to be brave enough to do it.

This guy dressed himself as a woman, put makeup on and went to the holy place with other three guys who remained in their normal attire. They picked the bathing place near the Dukh Bhanjani tree and the guy dressed as a woman went to the entry gate. He covered most of his face with a chunni and proceeded to walk in while his three companions stood outside and watched him go in. The woman guard at the door could not suspect that the person walking in was really a guy. But when she saw the three guys standing outside, she suspected something was wrong. She had initially thought that the guy dressed as a woman was a relative of the 3 guys standing outside but when these 3 guys walked to the exit door and she saw the guy inside simply walking through the bathing place and rushing towards the exit, she apprehended him and grabbed him.

She said to him, “you are not a woman, what are you doing here?”

The guy felt very scared and fearing that he will get a good beating, he said, “Forgive me mata ji, I am blind.”

As soon as he said these words, he instantly became blind. He started screaming that he could not see anything. He begged for forgiveness but of no avail. His 3 companions ran away and he confessed the whole story. Then few people from sangat asked him where he lived and he was taken home by a bus. His family tried to get him treated but it was all fruitless. He could not get his eyesight back and is still a blind person.

I do believe that miracles have happened in the past and can happen today too but these days with so much of jhooth-toofan going around, I would not trust this story right away even if somebody says he is an eye-witness. I have seen people pass off stories as true which are complete figments of imagination. It is better to be wary. If this happened in Amritsar and if there are eye-witnesses then it would be possible to find out and validate the story.

Thanks for Sharing Bijla Singh jee-

a prominent Gursikh Pyara once mentioned - miracle happens there all the time at that place which is like no other on this universe. We just need to spend time there out of our busy lives at least once in our life time.

Could you also or anyone for this matter slighlty off topic - advise the best place to stay while there - considering if one is taking family there, i don't fancy staying at any of the hotels.

Waheguru! thanks for sharing this lesson filled story. We shouldn't try to test or fool with Guru Sahib's places and Akaali powers. This guy committed a big sin by having fake women attire and went to women bathing area. He himself said the words that he is a blind so did he reaped what he asked. He should be thankful to Guru Sahib that if he had said that "I am a women" instead of "I am a blind", he would have turned into women.

Anyhow, since he committed a sin at the most scared place on this planet, none else but only Guru Sahib can cure him, if he comes to His Sharan begging for forgiveness.

Amazing Saakhi that shows that no one can escape the results of their karma. In many cases, it takes time for the results of our karma to become apparent due to which, many people think that they can do anything they want, without getting penalized but in this case the justice was quick. It should serve as a reminder to us to do only those deeds that are in accordance to Gurmat.
