Vaheguru Ji Ka Khalsa, Vaheguru Ji Ki Fateh!

It has been a while since I have posted on this forum but I wanted to express what I think is a trend that can be reversed easily.

I have noticed at many programs that Guru Sahib's parkash is being done on the ground with a peera sahib rather than elevated with a takhat. A true king deserves a takhat and historically takhats have been used - look at Ramkali Ki Vaar for reference. Is there a reason why this happening now other than lack of preparedness?

GuruPyareo,

The only rule for Guru Sahib's parkash I know is that Gur sahib's parkash should be on higher elevation then sangat. I agree that higher is better but even in Harmandar Sahib Amritsar, its done on manji sahib, no takhat posh or palki sahib is used.
