I think it is safe to say that election time is coming near and many opposition groups will start to throw mud at each other in order to discredit their opponents in the eyes of the general public. During election time, everything should be taken with a pinch of salt.

How do you explain the video of him matha tekhing to a pakhandi Baba acting as he is Guru. Look how this pakhandi Baba
puts tilak on GUru Jis saroop
[www.youtube.com]

Forward to 6:30- Warning video is very disturbing

Guru Sahib says any person who put tilak on Guru Granth Sahib Ji will go to hell ( Bhai Chaupa SIngh Ji rehatnama)
so why would we associate with such beymukhs. This is the type of person you wont to build a modern day Khalistan.
What a joke!

That was definitely a mistake by Sardar Simranjit Singh Mann but that one mistake does not negate all his good works. I am sure, he did this in ignorance because all his life he has been a Panthik Singh and has always sided with Panth as opposed to Badals and Sarnas who are associated with Congress, BJP or RSS.

A Gursikh would either totally refrain from voting in this election and if he does vote he would vote for the candidate of Sardar Mann's party or Bhai Bittu's party. Voting for Badal-associated fake Sants or Congress backed Sarnas would be suicidal.

BHai Sahib,

THe mistake he committed was grave. It goes against every Bibek principle. Such a mistake
demonstrates he his not fit to lead the sangat and take and leadership position. The pakhandi
in the video was acting like GUru. He had some one doing chaur sahib over him and "panj pyaarey" behind him.
How does it look when an AMritdhari SIkh goes and bows down to him. Khalsa does not bow down to any man
especially a pakhandi baba. In the old days one of the reasons SInghs would wear shasters in their dastar is to remind
them not to bow to the feet of anyone but Sri AKal Purakh. THis is why Bhai Nand Lal Ji rehat says if loh ( iron) touches
someones feet they go to hell. SImranjit Mann is definently an apostate for the act he committed. He needs to pesh.

I dont understand how we can refer to such a person as "sardar" . In the past the title sardar actually meant something. Nowadays
we just through the title around the same way we do with the title " sant" or Brahmgiani"

I respect Sardar mann as a genuine Gursikh. He has endured pain for panth.

I do not have any respect for Bittu. His credentials are suspect. And his tie up
with congress touts make him more suspect. he has many skeletons in his closet.
he has to answer how a dead cat( declared dead in police records but alive under
different name and a killer of sikhs) Sukhi was invited by him to attend his marriage
especially when he knew his history of anti panthic activities.

[panthic.org]

Sukhwinder Singh Sukhi has claimed that he is currently aligned with the Shiromani Khalsa Dal headed by Daljit Singh Bittu and works for the magazine 'Sikh Shahdat'. Bittu, another ex-militant, whose prision life sentence was msteriously commuted, has also raised suspicions in Panthic circles to have been also won over by governmental agencies.

Chhotay Veer Sukhdeep Singh, you were probably not even born at the time, when Sardar Mann did matchless Qurbani for Panth. He belonged to a royal family and was working as a senior police officer when he quit his job for Panth. Then he endured countless tortures for years, in Bhagalpur jail. He was tortured so severely that it is said that it affected him mentally. I was very young back in the 80s but vividly remember his sacrifices, as they were happening. He's the only leader who has not given up his goal for a Sikh state. It is ridiculous to reject him and his sacrifices for one oversight for which he probably has sought forgiveness.

Before talking ill about people like Sardar Mann, we should think 100 times. Those of you, who were not even born in the 80s, and did not see those dark times, can't understand what Sikh state means for Sikhs. I don't care whether the Sikh state is the ideal Sikh state that Bhai Sahib has written about or just a simple "modern state" run by normal Sikhs but we must have a Sikh state. Period. We have sacrificed so many lives for a Sikh state. Vaheguru can never ignore those Qurbanis.

You can't understand the humiliation we endured at the hands of Dhoti-clad Hindus in the 70s, 80s and 90s. You have no idea how we were mocked in schools and how when we protested, we had to face beatings, tortures and in many cases bullets. It took massive courage, sacrifice and Sikhi spirit by people like Sardar Mann (yes he is an Ankheela Sardar like thousands of other Sikhs of his time, who protested and fought injustice), who left their royals families, wonderful jobs and careers for the Chardi Kala of Sikhs. If he is not a Sardar, then who do you think is a Sardar? Sarna, Badal, or fake sants?

No one is perfect and Sardar Mann has committed his share of mistakes and even political blunders but I don't see a more honest and dedicated Sikh leader at this time. Good or bad, he's the most Panthik leader we have at this time. He knows he will lose the election but still he has not left his Asool of Sikh state. He too could have joined Congress or Akalis and led a comfortable life but instead he is struggling in political wilderness. For heaven's sake show some respect for this man.

Sukhdeep Singh Jee, you are just being judgmental. Simranjeet Singh Mann has served the Panth with tan man dhan. He has endured tortures not even caring for his very own life for the sake of the Panth. The man makes one mistake and you forget 99% of his works for the Panth. Going by your standard, then who is left that we can vote for? if not Mann, should we rather vote for Badal or Sarna? Mann is the only genuinely Panthic minded person from all the choices. I'm glad that most Gursikhs do not share your views on this issue.

Vadha Veer Ji,

If you want a state run by leaders who easily bow down to Veymukhs who commit the
worsest beadbi to GUru Sahib then I dont know what to say. Two rights dont make a wrong.
Such a state will collapse in a short time. Only GUru Sahib will give us a theocracy when we
are ready to follow his Hukum. First basic principle being roti beti da sanjh with GUrsikhs .

Sarna and Badal are no different. Politicians are politicians well do anything for a vote as in the
case of SimranJit Mann. Simranjit Mann has done wrong and when he peshes all will be forgiven, until
then we are not even allowed to socialize with him never mind supporting him. Only by living up to the
Maryada given by GUru Sahib will we be able to make any progression untill then we will continue
to walk backwards.

Things well change for SIkhs when they take the Gurdwara Sahibs in their own hands. It has never
been part of maryada to "democratically " elect rehat-less individuals. Gurdwara Sahibs should
be managed by Panj Pyaarey and money from the golak should be spent according to the discretion
of Panj. This European electoral process has taken precedence over Gurmat maryada because we put
faith in this system instead of the system GUru Sahib has blessed us with.

The heat of contest is on full peak as few days left for Election Day. Now main leading contenders in our area are of Badal Dal and Panthic Morcha. As daas explained that there are four categories among the Singhs about the candidates in our area and now the same categorization apply to other general Sikh population too. Interestingly, daas was told that Bhai (Baba) Sarabjot Singh Bedi of Una (once the President of Sant Samaj) is visiting the area in the support of Panthic Morcha candidate and due to which competition is heating up. On the other hand, not any big leader of Badal Dal and his Saadh union visited the area significantly, yet his candidate himself is competing well. Overall Sikhs in general are thinking because Badal is the only game player in these elections so it is better to vote for his winning candidates rather than loosing ones.

Daas see these elections are very different than previous ones as no single thought is there. Seems like Singhs who are concerned with Gurudwara Parbandh, their thinking is to vote for the deserving candidate no matter what party that candidate belongs to but at the same time there are good numbers out there who will caste their vote of protest against Badal regime anyway.

This topic was opened to be get informed about what's going on in Panthic instituions and intention was not to target and favor any individuals but to stay vigilant only.
