By the Kirpa of Guru Sahib, there will be an Amrit Sinchaar Samagam, at 9am, on July 31st, 2011, at Gurmat School located on 67 Westmore Drive, Toronto. This Gurmat Khalsa school is located across from the Rexdale Gurdwara Sahib.
The Amrit Sinchaar Samagam will start after the Bhog of Siri Akhand Paath Samagam and Siri Asa kee Vaar Kirtan.
With respect to getting pesh, please remember the following:
1. Wear 5 Kakaars, including Keski and Dastaar. The colours for Keski and Dastaar are Blue, Black, Basanti and White but the preferred colours are Basanti for Keski and Navy Blue for Dastaar.
2. Wear Gurmukhi Baana with White Hazooriya. Males should not wear Pajaami while females should wear Pajaami. The Kurta (straight cut not rounded corners) or Chola must be at least knee length. Bibiyaan who want to wear a suit, must ensure that the suit is plain and has no embroidery (kadhaaee) on it.
3. Kirpan must be made of Sarbloh and held in Gaatra.
4. Kachhera (knee length) must be White only.
5. Karra must be made of Sarbloh only.
6. All Abhilaakhis must come after Keshi Ishnaan.
7. Gurmukhi Baana and 5 Kakaars can be bought from Sacha Sauda Gurmat Parchaar Society, located at 2575 Steeles Ave E, Brampton. Phone number is(905) 459-8351. Kakaars will also be provided at the time of Amrit Sinchaar.
