I met Bhai Shingara Singh when we did a program at sikh channel uk Bhai Sahib I go up to say gurfateh Bhai Sahib gave all of us loving hugs like we are his own children. He had a passion of fighting injusitce and that we need to do real parchar on the truth not just do kirtan and leave the message of turth behind. Bhai Sahib was an excellent fighter and gatka player, all the AKJ siyaneh Singhs where ever gatka would happen at jatha smagams to take part. (We looked for him at Derby UK rainsbai but didnt come till rainsbai). Bhai Sahib was still a strcit bibeki singh even when I met him he still ate desi gheo and daliya and used to soak chick peas in a sarbloh bata and eat them (he recommended this to me as got slim physique).
A little funny story Jathedar Bhai Raghbir Singh told me while driving back from a late kirtan divan that he told Bhai Shingara Singh that your driving in the wrong lane on the motorway bhai sahib goes "es vela khalsa da time ya" "this time is khalsa time".
