Singh's Dastaar forcibly removed by Police

Posted by Manvir Singh
PLEASE WATCH: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ONYV8hUKN3Y

Punjab police officer removing a young Sikh's dastaar outside of Mohali stadium.

Just watching live programme on Sikh Channel. According to news, the Sikh was peacefully protesting about the lack of jobs in Punjab.

1. The Sikh did not resist arrest

2. The Sikh did not swear or speak ill to the Police

3. The Sikh was peacefully and democratically protesting about a legitimate cause (i.e. unemployment).

The Sikh background SHO specifically says to the Hindu SHO "Do not remove his Pagh". Despite this warning the Hindu SHO forcibly removes the Sikh's Dastaar and dishonours him.

Makes you wonder why the Hindu SHO is being warned not to remove the Sikh's Dastaar.

Guru Bhallaa Kare.

I think Netherlands (aka Holland) is a country with very good laws and principles (for example extradition, gender equality, freedom to practice ones beliefs etc), good job to the Prime Minister on this topic.
