2 years have now passed since Bhai Jagtar Singh jee of Toronto left this karam bhoomi. Their jeevan inspires daas in many ways. Daas had the good fortune to speak briefly with Gyani Thakur Singh ji from Taksal who is doing katha tour in England. Daas asked him if they had done darshan of bhai sahib Randhir Singh ji they replied no but they that they regularly visited bhai sahib's pind Narangwal and that they met those who had done sangat of bhai sahib. The Faridkot Teeka does the correct meanings of Gurbani on ang 548 of the shabad "Nanak, Giani Jag Jeeta, Jag Jeeta Sabh koi" In the above shabad the 2nd "Jag" has a sihari indicating "Jag ne". Daas has read some meanings from the Faridkot wala teeka and is surprised to see Vyakaran is used in many places. Did the author of this teeka, Giani Badan Singh ji have knowledge of lagu matra in regards to Vyakaran? We need to examine this Bir further for spellings also to see if it is the one scribed by bhai Gurdas ji and narrated ny sri Guru Arjan Dev ji. Daas feels that Akhand Kirtani Jatha should be playing a more active role in the Panth in regards to Panthic Issues such as derawaad and beadbi of Guru Granth Sahib ji. What is the best example one can give to prove that Gurbani Vyakaran (employing the laga matra at the end of words) is essential to get the correct arths of Gurbani?
