I had a confusing thought today Why lord are you so far away? What did I do, that kept me away? Please forgive my wrong doings right away! The day we meet lord, I await that day I wonder around your creation, I sit and pray Please come into my heart, I cry and say Without you lord, we're just heaps of clay A field of manure, a pile of dirt Living each day, all the while in hurt my bodyby GurmanSingh - Gurmat Discussion Forum

"Try keeping Rehit e.g. Sarbloh Bibek, and Baana, and sometimes even the uninformed Amritdhari people oppose you. Eat from tobacco chewing Bhaiyaas, no one minds or even utters a word." A very sad practice we see in the panth today is "Gursikhs" who think its okay to eat anything, anywhere, from anyone. Not only are they harming their own souls, but they make a mockery of Sikhi. How embarrassing is it to see "Sikhs" eating from the hands of non-gursikhs, freely going to restaurants. They claim their meals are "vegetarian" but their food is cooked on the same stove as meat (basicby GurmanSingh - Gurmat Discussion Forum

These are one of the few cases in which I'm glad that pad ched pothi's are prakash at most Gurduwara's in the West. At least one can sleep at night knowing that beadbi is not being done in the hazoori of Sri Guru Granth Sahib. It's terrible to see the amount of beadbi that goes around in Gurduwara's these days, sadly there's little we can do about it. We'd have to change maryada from top to bottby GurmanSingh - Gurmat Discussion Forum

Vaheguru Ji Ka Khalsa, Vaheguro Ji ki Fateh Dass has been confused about the letter "ਫ" Dass first learned from Taksalee Gursikhs and learned that "ਫ" should be pronounced as "Phapa" and that "ਫ" with Bindi was pronounced Fafa. However still all Taksalee Gursikhs while reading Gurbanee pronounced it as Fafa, which broke their own rules since they do not believe in adding Bindi's whilby GurmanSingh - Gurmat Discussion Forum

Now I might take some heat from this, but to be honest I really don't see ignorance from the other side. If Muslims were required to carried daggers for their religions, I'm pretty sure I'd be on the other side of the argument. It's hard really to justify Guru Sahibs hukams to normal people, in the end of the day, we have to realize that the government has given us a privilege and we should not tby GurmanSingh - Gurmat Discussion Forum

You were raised at level "3" and born in a gursikhi household because of your past karams. Who knows what karams you've incurred to get to the point where you are today. These karams you have built have taken millions of years to incur, so in the grand scheme of things our lives are very minisicule, considering we have living in other forms for millions of lifetimes before being born into a sikhiby GurmanSingh - Gurmat Discussion Forum
Vaheguroo...interesting topic you have brought up, and we shouldn't let small differences separate the fact that we share one common goal, and one common Guru. I hate to play devils advocate though for a second, I have never heard of Bhai Sahib Jeevan Singh willingly read Rag Mala, anytime Bhai Sahib holds an akkhand path for a family who believes in Rag Mala, he will stay in the room but wilby GurmanSingh - Gurmat Discussion Forum
The sakhi states that Guru Ji said "you will be blessed with 5 sons," and that is what happened. Who knows why it was sons instead of daughters, but that sentence doesn't suggest that sons are more blessed then daughters. For whatever reason Guru Sahib made that bachan and it came true. I'm sure if he had mentioned a daughter as well, Sakhees would have mentioned it.by GurmanSingh - Gurmat Discussion Forum

1) Dass mostly cooks when no one else is in the Kitchen, cleans counters and stove with water, then begins cooking. Cooking when others are around becomes a hastle, so its best to find time when the kitchen is open. 4) I have never really got any weird looks for wearing Bana at school except from Punjabees and other Gursikhs. 1kaur Bhenjee, it comes down to how much someone values a rehit. For some people, sarbloh rehit is just as important as Kakkars, Daswand, Amritvela etc. So, for someone to not keep sarbloh, is the same as not wearing a Kakkar. If the argument right now were that Sarblohee Singh's don't eat from other Gursikhs who don't keep their Kakkars, then I'm sure there would less backlash against such a conby GurmanSingh - Gurmat Discussion Forum
Keeping Sarbloh keeps the body in constant peace. Although the mind still wavers, the feeling you have inside is pure anand, especially after eating from tyar bar tyar gursikhs. Sometimes after eating one gets the urges to just start japping naam. It also helps with your energy, making it easier to wake up for amritvela, stay up during amritvela, and thus concentrate during amritvela. Sometimby GurmanSingh - Gurmat Discussion Forum
I still think hat posture is very important, Dass suffers from severe neck and back problems after sitting for long periods, which I have been told is due to my poor posture. There is a sect in Buddhism know an "Pure Land Buddhism," in which has a very unique idea on liberation. There Buddha, who is known as Amitabha Buddha, stated that anyone who recites his name once with full faith will be liberated into the "pure land." Thus, all one has to do in order to be liberated is call upon Amitabha Buddha's name just once with full faith, and they will get liberated. Wby GurmanSingh - Gurmat Discussion Forum
