We shouldn't be wasting our time addressing such petty issues. If we understand the context of the clip, I didn't think it was demonizing at all, in fact it shows the richness and beauty of harmandir Sahib. Making an issue out of this only makes us look like extremist. Mitt Romney is sadly the leading republican candidate, and has a good shot at becoming president. Gurbani has clearly stated that Vishnu and other Devteh were Subject to Kaal, and we don't have to go outside of our Nitem Banian to find this answer In Svyaie Sahib Guru Sahib states "Brahm, Meshiur, Bishan, Sanchipath, ant phaseh, jam phans parengeh." Vishnu and these other deities were all Subject to Death, one a true Purakh, a Bramgyanee, one who resides in Sachkhand, is not subject to deathby GurmanSingh - Gurmat Discussion Forum
The most valuable thing I think this site can provide is vichar on Gurbani. Dass has always wanted to do deep vichar with other Singhs on Nitem Baninan + Asa Ki Var, Sukhmani Sahib, Basant Ki Var, Ramkali Ki Var and further and further after that. Understanding The Rag, the poetry style, Viyakaran used etc along with the meanings. There is no ant to Akal Purkah, therefore there is no ant to Gurbaby GurmanSingh - Gurmat Discussion Forum

Sukhdeep Singh, I have never yet responded to any of your messages over the years that have been anti-gurmat but today I just couldn't help myself. I'll try to say this in the most loving way possible, but you are absolutely confused on your theories of Gurmat, and it can have a very negative effect on those young people reading this forum who take what they read as truth without doing further reby GurmanSingh - Gurmat Discussion Forum
Veerji, wouldn't that mean are Nitnem should be extended to 2 Jap Ji Sahibs a day, since one should be read with Chandi di var? Thus, 7 Bani's, plus Chandi di var, Aaarti, and Jap Ji Sahib making the grand total 10. And as for Bir Raas, it is as hard as explaining the taste of naam. The fact is, there not even that many Gurduwara's in the west that even have parkash of laridhar saroops. What if someone wanted to have a wedding, where would they go? What if their houses were not big enough? A beach is no different from a jungle, or anyother place, dirt is dirt. No matter what reason puratan Singh's did it for, the fact is they did it, so it is allowed. We live in the 21st ceby GurmanSingh - Gurmat Discussion Forum
There is no problem with doing parkash outside, as long as you protect from storms which isnt hard to do, like sukhdeep Singh said, Singhs used to do parkash and even hold akkhand paths in jungles. Extreme situations can happen anywhere, indoors there are chances of fire, but that does not mean we cannot keep saroops in housesby GurmanSingh - Gurmat Discussion Forum

Veerji, I don't think you have realized the amount of skilled poets on this forum. Instead of asking for already made poems, ryhmes, lullaby's etc, you should ask sangat to make some new ones for you!by GurmanSingh - Gurmat Discussion Forum
Bhai Sahib, first ask yourself this, if you had not been told to do 1100, would you have ever completed these paths. If you had not given a bachan do finish them, would you have completed these paths? Having a target goal, in my opinion is one of the, if not the best way to increase your nitnem. At the beggining your mind may not be focussed on Gurbani, but this is the same for any situation. Ifby GurmanSingh - Gurmat Discussion Forum
To answer all your questions in one point, As the saying goes, 'hate the sin, not the sinner," often times people mistake peoples opinion on rehit as judgemental, when in fact it is just stating fact. For example, it is fact that Sarbloh Bibek is a mandatory rehit, thus when I make this statement, it will no doubt hurt those who don't not keep this rehit. However, this does not mean that one iby GurmanSingh - Gurmat Discussion Forum
In Satjug, the "evil" Maheshisur took control of the 3 worlds, a war took place to destory all the demons, that resulted in Durga destorying the demons and restoring peace. No, there is only one Mantar, and that is gurmantar, which is the real mool mantar. Gurmantar and the vidhi to jap gurmantar is obtained during amrit sinchar. All of Gurbani is mantar roop, but there is only one gurmantar. But there is nothing wrong with doing abiyaaas of any Shabad (like the following above), however it is NOT REQUIRED to do abiyaas of any of these newly created mantars.by GurmanSingh - Gurmat Discussion Forum

Is memorizing Gurbani a separate category from memorizing worldly knowledge? For instance, one who is very good at school, memorizing textbooks , numbers, dates etc, would he also be good at memorizing gurbani? The same goes for the opposite, if someone who is not that good at memorizing, will he have trouble memorizing Gurbani? Do the same memorizing techniques for memorizing worldy knowledge apby GurmanSingh - Gurmat Discussion Forum
The answers to Gurbani are not in the power of the average person to behold. In Sikhi, or with anything in life, the best way to reach perfection is to imitate those who have reached perfection in the past. Now, imitating someone like Bhai Sahib Randhir Singh is certainly no easy task, but there is one aspect of Gursikhi that we can copy him.
