I remember reading in son chirhee charhee gainh that the panj pyare would never come into sangat with the uniform of the punj. The newly born khalsa would come into the rainsabaee by themselves and then the sevaadaars would change back into normal bastar and come into sangat without attracting attention.by Preetam Singh - Gurmat Discussion Forum

gsingh, You have just made yourself seem like an illiterate person who has no respect for language. That does not seem like a quality of a Gursikh. It is always very saddening when certain groups claim themselves as having the correct pronunciation of bani, but they have no knowledge of language, and they reek so much of hankaar that they can't listen to the advice given by other groups.by Preetam Singh - Gurmat Discussion Forum
It is sad to see that tyar bar tyar Gursikhs are hard to come by, but it is even sadder to know that tyar bar tyar Gursikhs are not eating from each other over very small issues. In the past few topics we have seen Gursikhs making decisions by themselves on what is acceptable within bibek, and some have even made such outrageous remarks to say that milk is not acceptable within a bibeki diet.by Preetam Singh - Gurmat Discussion Forum
In my humble opinion, The best place to get Pesh or take Amrit is at an Akhand Keertanee Jatha Smagam in Punjab. There is a Rainsabaee Keertan and Amrit Sinchaar on the last saturday of every month in Sri Amritsar Sahib. With Guru Sahib's kirpa, full maryada is followed at these Amrit Sinchaars and only tyar bar tyar, chardikala gursikhs do sevaa at these Amrit Sinchaar.by Preetam Singh - Gurmat Discussion Forum
Bhai Sahib, When you say Pehli Patshaah, or Dasmi Patshaah, it is not grammatically correct. It should be Pehle Patshaah, Dasme Patshaah, ect. If I am wrong, then please show me an example of it written as Pehli Patshaah.by Preetam Singh - Gurmat Discussion Forum
Vahegurooooo What an inspiring post! This just shows that Gursikhs never tried to find a way out of keeping rehit, but made themselves worthy of keeping rehit and doing bhagti. Dhan Gurskhi !by Preetam Singh - Gurmat Discussion Forum
It is true that there is only one Amrit. Where there are Punj Tyar bar Tyar Gursikhs in the presence of Guru Granth Sahib Jee's Larivaar Saroop then and only then can Amrit be prepared. This Amrit can only be prepared with a very strict method and must be administered according to maryada as well. Gusikhi is about total submission to Gurmat, and this is highlighted in this jeevani. Mata Prem Kaur was renamed according to gurmat maryada of taking hukamnama sahib from Guru Granth Sahib Jee's one and only saroop. Larivaar. This heavenly couple was also remarried in the presence of Guru Sahibs true saroop. They did not worry about what people would think of them being remarried or renamed.by Preetam Singh - Gurmat Discussion Forum
Today his recitation of Akhand Path, regaling and blissful to the listeners, is beyond all praise. The recitation is like raining of fragrant Nam-Nectar. He is the most fluent Pathhi today and yet most clear and flawless to the listeners. His recitation was uplifting and swaying the minds. When I was younger I used to have low self-esteem, especially in grades 7 and 8. I also noticed that a lot of people would make fun of my dastar, or just make fun of me in general because I wasn't comfortable being me. After coming to jatha and at the same time making the transition to high school, I found that a lot of my problems with discrimination stopped. Hahahaha. Bhai Jasjit Singh jeeo, maaf karna! But I thought that it would make more sense to have a sarbloh garhba since it can be made sucha after using it by doing full sodh sudhayee. My mothers grandfather was a sarblohi nihung singh and he always carried his sarbloh garhba with him. My mother told me that he would fill it with water, then go jungle paani, then sodh it with retaa and theby Preetam Singh - Gurmat Discussion Forum

The rain is subtle, visions of my beloved will follow. The wind is stirring, I will no longer feel hollow. The bells are ringing, I think he's coming. Let us not waver, just keep on humming. Do you hear the hooves of his horse coming closer? Just outside, he's waiting to give us darshan! 1kaur Bhenji, "i'm sure you've never been ill and had to break rehet in your life? give me a break..." There are countless gursikhs who I know personally who under unimaginable pain of bodily illness have fulfilled their rehit. Be it severe back problems, eczema, ect. I used to question sucham a lot when I just started keeping bibek. My stance was that sucham isn't about purity but about cleanliness, so if someone was to touch my food, I wouldn't mind as long as their hands were "clean". I then started to question myself on what the reason is for only eating food made by Sarblohi Gursikhs. If we don't care about Sucham, then why would we have only Sarblohisby Preetam Singh - Gurmat Discussion Forum
1. Some of us are lucky enough to be blessed with our own kitchen, even while living with the rest of the family. This makes Sucham so much easier because you only need to wash everything once, and don't have to worry about people touching your food or bhanday. But in the situations where you have to use a shared kitchen you just have to keep washing everything when you are about to use it. Fby Preetam Singh - Gurmat Discussion Forum
