Im not looking to change, it maybe just misinformation and awareness that needs coming to light.by Aalas Moorakh - Gurmat Discussion Forum
No, im in agreement you bhai sahib, it should be cleaned inside. But everyone I see cleans the the top of the shoe, which i think may be incorrect, as we need the dhoor from underneath the foot, which surely is inside the shoe??!! :sby Aalas Moorakh - Gurmat Discussion Forum
I've seen people clean shoes and wipe the cloth on their forehead for the dhoor of sangat, which is great. My question is from the way the dust is collected. Everyone I have seen do this wipes the cloth on top of the shoe, but is this the correct method? Surely the dhoor we need is from underneath the foot? So, would not the best place to wipe be inside the sole of the shoe?by Aalas Moorakh - Gurmat Discussion Forum
I think I know who your talking about, do they mainly hold programmes in the midlands? Iv heard similar stories. There kirtan is similar to jatha, hence why this person may have been lured into it.by Aalas Moorakh - Gurmat Discussion Forum
Many thanks to both, this has helped.by Aalas Moorakh - Gurmat Discussion Forum

I just read something which made me think, about how simran is like sending a text message to vahiguru and the reception on your phone is like the love, no reception (no love) no reply from vahiguru. So my question is how do you jap naam with pyaar? Prem?by Aalas Moorakh - Gurmat Discussion Forum
Dhanvaad ji, only a moorkah like me would think a spaceship can take you there lol! Is there an english PDF of sach khand darshan?by Aalas Moorakh - Gurmat Discussion Forum
Love this incident, love the way these Bhagats can just go as they please where they like and love the way Dharam Rai says Panga!by Aalas Moorakh - Gurmat Discussion Forum

I just thought with the universe being so huge, that these khands may exist like other planets, but it makes sense that one can not get there without merit.by Aalas Moorakh - Gurmat Discussion Forum
I know the khands have a physical existence and place, but can they only be visited by astral body/Atma? Or let's say if in the future someone built a super spaceship could anybody visit these khands all be it by accident?by Aalas Moorakh - Gurmat Discussion Forum
Thankyou, makes sense actually. Another thing is in sangat the time also goes a lot quicker compared to done alone.by Aalas Moorakh - Gurmat Discussion Forum
From my little knowledge Guru Sahib advises us to jap naam in sat sangat "mil saadh sangat bhaj kavel naam" But when we read alof the stories of puratan gursikhs and gurskihs of the last century they would do naam abhiyaas on there own. Even Bhai Sahibs accounts in rangle sajjan states that gursikhs would read bani together but then retreat to their own hut or peaceful place for naam abhiyaas. Hanji, Vismaad showed this scene, but I have heard parchaariks mention another scene. The father had a vision of the future that his son may faulter so before being tortured he asked to see his son at which point he wiped of the lakeer on his head. Im not sure if this is line with gurmat though??by Aalas Moorakh - Gurmat Discussion Forum
Is there not a scene where the son changes his mind? Iv heard one version where the son did waiver,o Bhai Subegh singh asked to speak to his son and he wiped the lakeer of his head, which made him steadfast in his faith again?by Aalas Moorakh - Gurmat Discussion Forum
There must be loads in the UK and the UK will have full knowledge of them being here and what they are upto, probably giving there full support. So well done Germany!!by Aalas Moorakh - Gurmat Discussion Forum

lol, thanks singho! Jasjit Ji, the check point 2 was just an example, not saying i was there. I suppose we should just follow instructions and be thankful for being able to jap naam.by Aalas Moorakh - Gurmat Discussion Forum
Dhanvaad Jasjit Ji. Your description is about increasing actions, but lets say one is at check point 2, what should he experiencing spiritually?by Aalas Moorakh - Gurmat Discussion Forum
I have read parts of this book but was put off by the following ‘It is my personal view that excessive consumption of meat has evil effects and retards the spiritual progress. Its consumption should be reduced to the minimum. More liberal use should be made of milk, fruit and vegetables. I have, at times, eaten meat daily, and at other times, avoided it for a full year at a stretch, and have coby Aalas Moorakh - Gurmat Discussion Forum
Its a shame that the elders who are an example, relax on some rehats as what you say starts to happen. I believe there was a saakhi where Baba Buddha Ji stopped taking ishnaan in the mornings, he has reached the pinnacle of spirituality and perhaps became relaxed over this rehat. However, others started copying him and complaining to guru sahib, who then had to tell Baba ji that no matter how elby Aalas Moorakh - Gurmat Discussion Forum
I would definately advise you to have a cold shower brother. This will wake you up and do longer abhiyaas.by Aalas Moorakh - Gurmat Discussion Forum
I was just thinking about this analogy, which for me helps explain the question about what happens to sikhs who follow some or all rehats, do they obtain the same goal. Lets set the scenario of an exam. In this exam there will be mainly 3 types of students. The first group who do not care about the exam, they have no interest in revising and are only there because its compulsory. The secondby Aalas Moorakh - Gurmat Discussion Forum
Vahiguru ji ka khalsa vahiguru ji ki fateh. Only a few lucky souls sprint up the spiritual ladder and are blessed with darshan ealry or immediatley after receiving amrit naam. However, I was just wondering is anything documented where it illustrates step by step what the seeker should feel, think, see, hear etc, so that not only we know we are on the right path but it gives you hope and encouby Aalas Moorakh - Gurmat Discussion Forum
