During an akhand paat sahib wouldnt reciting "Vahiguroo" naam be sufficient for any unexpected pauses????? would i be within the realm of gurmat if i brought a senchian pothi of shabad guru to read along with if i sit underneath the chandoa sahib etc????? ( i can hear better if i can see it etc ) Vahigurooby Pritamsinghkhalsa - Gurmat Discussion Forum
A few local gurduarey give me rumaley for home etc (inventory liquidation :p ) some ritually offer rumala to make up for their alcoholism etc and bears little fruit cause guru sahib would rather have u be rahatvaan than give to make up for yer shortcomings. if a gurduara has enough rumaley then more wont matter too much (they only use the nicer ones anyway, most match the chandoa also)by Pritamsinghkhalsa - Gurmat Discussion Forum
I always think of guru nanak taking isnaan in the river (most river water is not warm) i need to revert back to cold showers again, thanks for the rticle reminderby Pritamsinghkhalsa - Gurmat Discussion Forum
If someone says that then just laugh at their shallow comment. Its their way to further the monopolization of sikhi to get women to not wear turbans and to get their kids to be more able to slip from sikh. I come across many many foolish "sikhs" who can read gurbani but not comprehend its teachings, they dont know which hand is left or right which way is up or down, yet they try to teach others. Gurfateh bhai sahib does have good points but i can never ever compare gurmukhi with foolish english language(english doesnt make sence in many way and has too many words that means the same thing ie. Overboard with descriptions) english has silent letters (which makes no sense) latin is a part of english but english evolves over time ie. Slang. Gurbani has the words kripa and kirpa(spellby Pritamsinghkhalsa - Gurmat Discussion Forum
Gurfateh ive never seen it spelled with a "b". In anand sahib it is spelled with a "v" as veymukh. a veymukh is someone who quits guru sahibs rahat, a gurmukh follows gurbani's teachings, a manmukhs tries to make their own spirituality and teachings. simple. gurmat= guru sahibs teachings. Manmat= yer own teachings not inline with gurmat. which is worse??(veymukhs) beby Pritamsinghkhalsa - Gurmat Discussion Forum
Gurfateh ill have to disagree with one of yer comments. Dhan siri guru nanak dev ji was not "god himself", guru nanak is the servant of god, guru sahib also begged to remain in worship of god, also god is not a "male" and also nirankar. God came in the form of shabad and its recognition cause people to be purified. i am a sikh convert from christianity and have lots of knowledge of chriby Pritamsinghkhalsa - Gurmat Discussion Forum
Gurfateh if stooges which are badal induced make any rule then it should be questioned(i feel) people questioning sometimes is a good thing, however once questioned means the institution is proven questionable then it needs to be fixed to bring it back to immaculate status. I think a panj pyare jatha is who needs to conduct issues of hukamnama etc. One idiot incharge can screw everythinby Pritamsinghkhalsa - Gurmat Discussion Forum
Gurfateh, people need to stop calling him a "singh"!! although the "workers" do need help, i think giving them employment at womens crisis centers would be the better way to help them. "sponsering" these workers is best for them, ithink in the end wen these dera zombies snap out of their foolishness their "x-working spouses" are going to lose out in the end. People cant change just from getby Pritamsinghkhalsa - Gurmat Discussion Forum
