QuoteWe have read many times in Gurbani “Karmi aapo apni ke need ke door” which means that it is all past karam that one gets close to GOD or away from him. Then why do we have to make udam to jap naam? If it is all karam then how can we change it? In Daas' humble opinion, what we are today is because of past karams of millions of years. But what we will be tomorrow will be the result of kby ravneetsinghkhalsa - Gurmat Discussion Forum
I heard a quote from singh recently. I forgot the original quote, but it meant that drinking water from a sirgum is like drinking alcohol. Do anyone know what is the original quote and where it is from ?by ravneetsinghkhalsa - Gurmat Discussion Forum
QuotePreetam Singh I would say that his best book is his book on Bhagat Baani history. Bhai Sahib Ji, Can you please shed more light on this book ? What is the name of the book and where we can get copy of it ? Thank you. Ravneet Singhby ravneetsinghkhalsa - Gurmat Discussion Forum
Sukhmana sahib is collection of 24 shabads by Guru Ram Das ji. First 6 shabads are from Bilaval Raag. Next 6 are from Nat raag, Next 6 are from Kaanra Raag and last 6 are from Kalyaan Raag. Like Sukhmani Sahib, they are written in simple language, easy to understand and full of love towards Akaal Purakh. Guru Ram Das ji's bani is very peculiar. It is hard to explain, but when you read Sukhmanby ravneetsinghkhalsa - Gurmat Discussion Forum
In Akhand kirtani jatha, there is tradition of reciting a shabad after samapti, when degh is being distributed. The most common shabad being recited is 'Gur Poore meri raakh layi'. However sometimes other shabads are also recited like 'Har Kaa Naam ride nit dhayii' or 'Rain Dinas Prabhat Tuhe he gaavna'. These shabads, usually recited by elder singhs are part of the samagam itself and can notby ravneetsinghkhalsa - Gurmat Discussion Forum

Waheguru ji kaa Khalsa Waheguru ji kee Fateh ji Yesterday, Daas got opportunity to read Arths of Chaubole Bani from both Prof. Sahib Singh ji's teeka and Faridkoti teeka. Even though both teekas did quite similar meanings, context they presented was quite different. According to Prof. Sahib Singh Ji : Saman -> One who does lot of Daan Musan -> One who is losing his spirtual wealth And thby ravneetsinghkhalsa - Gurmat Discussion Forum

I had chance to do sangat of Bhai Sahib Ji many times. Listen to Akhand Paath sahib from him many times. He used to come to Amritwela organized by Puran Ji many times. Puran Ji also used to respect him extremely. Many times I saw him doing Panj Pyaare sewa. He used to have very strong aura especially because of the way he used to dress. Yet, he was such a soft spoken person. Satguru ji kirby ravneetsinghkhalsa - Gurmat Discussion Forum
It's the same dilemna I have been getting into recently. Though I have been washing Rumalle sahib with hand only so far, I now feel ( after talking to couple of Gursikhs), it's better to wash in washing machine. The only place where you can wash rumalle with hand is bathroom. No matter how much you clean your bathroom before washing rumalle sahib, it's the same place where you are taking shower aby ravneetsinghkhalsa - Gurmat Discussion Forum
What should be the recommended size (length and height) of Palangh for Sukhasan Sahib ? Daas initialy started with 3 ft Palangh for Sukhasan sahib. Now, planning to move to 5 ft palangh (not ready yet, but working on it). Bigger than that would be very hard to adjust in our home. But would still like to know sangat's opinion if 5 ft palangh is ok. Plan is also to have larivaar senchian placedby ravneetsinghkhalsa - Gurmat Discussion Forum
