I think we should translate this article [www.gurmatbibek.com] in English, Urdu and other Persian languages and if possible make slides of this and post it to that media.

Basically he is saying that there is no historic evidence of Sahib Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji going to Mecca, and that its not mentioned anywhere in Sahib Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji either. Then he says that no non-Muslim can enter Mecca. If he/she does, they suffer capital punishment by law (death penalty). After that, he says that he wouldn’t like if tomorrow a Muslim goes to Amritsar and points his feet towards Sri Darbar Sahib, and then people claim that wherever he moved his feet, there people saw Sri Darbar Sahib. He says that Sahib Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji fulfilled the wish of His Muslim student who wanted to go for Hajj, and so accompanied him. Lastly, he says that Gurbani has shabads by Bhagat fareed Ji, who is “not-a-big-deal” for Muslims, and yet Gurujee gave him so much respect that his compositions were recorded in Gurbani. Therefore its absurd to think that Sahib Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji would “disrespect” Kaaba by pointing His feet towards it, basically implying that Gurujee had utmost respect for Hazrat Muhammad.

This is what he is saying.

The assertion that non-Muslims cannot infiltrate Mecca is false. The city of Mecca was not developed during the time of the Guru. It was a vast desert land and people could commute freely unlike now. Only until recently Saudi Arabia has become rich with the oil money and developed as a result.
The most famous incident of a non-Muslim visiting Mecca was the visit by the British explorer Sir Richard Burton in 1853. Burton disguised himself as an Afghani Muslim to visit and write Personal Narrative of a Pilgrimage to Al Madinah and Mecca.

These are some unbiased comments with that video.

i don't understand how they can limit a visit to a city to people of a certain faith... how do they prove what religion someone is???

oh, also, in the book, "sikh history by persian sources", many of the persians quoted mention guru sahib having visited mecca... maybe this guy would believe muslim historians if he doesn't believe sikhs.

About a century ago, Prof Puran Singh, refers about this phenomenon of human minds.

"We as Sikhs shall read the human history even in fiction as the Guru intends. A poor Mussalman says that Guru Nanak never visited Mecca as if his visiting Mecca cannot take place in our brain. His visit to the Mecca is only reqired by us to learn that God whom they, the Moslems, say is in Kaaba is everywhere. It is only to correct a human misconception, otherwise the Mecca is as good a city as any other in the desert dotted with palms. The Beduins are no better men than the Mussalmans of Malabar."

The speaker in that video has the feeling that if he agrees to this Sakhi; the Supermacy of Islaam or Mecca; will be lowered. But it should not be so.

By the way, does the history say anything about exact spot where Guru Ji played this "CHOJ". Was that exactly in the premises of that complex as we see in the pictures or may be at a distance from KABAA, where Jeewan could see its top.

Vaar 1 Pauri 32 At Mecca
baabaa dhiri makay gaiaa neel basatr dhaaray banavaaree|
Donning blue attire then Baba Nanak went to Mecca.
aasaa hadi kitaab kachhi koojaa baang musalaa dhaaree|
He held staff in his hand, pressed a book under his armpit, caught hold of a metal pot and mattress.
baitdaa jaai maseet vichi jidai haajee haji gujaaree|
Now he sat in a mosque where the pilgrms (hajis) had gathered.
jaa baabaa sutaa raati no vali maharaabay paai pasaaree|
When Baba (Nanak) slept in the night spreading his legs towards the alcove of mosque at Kaba,
jeevani maaree|ati dee kayharhaa sutaa kudhar kudhaaree|
the qazi named Jivan kicked him and asked who was this infidel enacting blasphemy.
lataa vali khudaai day kiu kari paiaa hoi bajigaaree|
Why this sinner is sleeping his legs spread towards God, Khuda.
tangon pakarhi ghaseetiaa dhiriaa makaa kalaa dikhaaree|
Catching hold of the legs he lynched (Baba Nanak) and lo and behold the miracle, the whole of Mecca seemed to be revolving.
hoi hairaanu karayni juhaaree ॥32॥
All got surprised and they all bowed.

Above Pauri of Bhai Gurdaas Ji says that Guru Ji sat in a mosque before going for sleep in the night. Where is that mosque? Is it KAABA itself or some mosque nearby? It shows, Guru Sahib was very close to KAABA.

I think they vet every passport before you're allowed in and of course you have to apply for a visa. Not sure if this is true but I've read that one of the conditions on entering is you have to say La ila ha illallah Muhammed ur Rasulullah meaning that ‘There is no God but Allaah and Muhammed (pbuh) is His Messenger.’

I highly doubt this veerji. Is there any evidence? Because I know some non-Muslims who traveled to Saudi Arabia and heard nothing of this sort. Are you referring specifically just to Mecca city or entering the country?

To Mecca during the Haj

This could very much be true at this time under the current regime of Saudi Arabia. We are talking about the conditions more that 500 years ago. It is unlikely that the conditions applied today were also applied back then.

It's an undeniable truth that Siri Guru jee did go to Mecca and this is also true that he did not go there as a Haji. This is also true that the Muslims there knew that He was not a Muslim. The proof of this is that when they saw a Pothi that Guru Sahib was carrying, they asked Guru Sahib who according to Guru Sahib was greater - a Hindu or a Muslim:

The above incident occurred at Mecca when Guru Sahib was with Haajis (ones who do Hajj to Mecca). They asked who gets accepted in the court of Vaheguru. Siri Guru jee fearlessly replied that both Hindus and Muslims don't get accepted there because of lack of Shubh-Amal (Good deeds). In the 4th last Pankiti Siri Guru jee declares that both Hindus and Muslims don't get accepted in the court of Vaheguru. Their deeds diminish when they stand the test of Dharam Rai just like the colour of Kasumbha flower fades in water.

There were inscriptions on the walls of one of the mosques outside of Mecca which prove Guru Ji's arrival and the incident. Also, Guru Sahib wrote a passage on one of the walls in Persian. I do not know whether the mosque still stands or the inscriptions are still there. If Muslims believe such event never took place then they should allow Sikh scholars to do research there. If they can allow non-Muslim movie makers then surely they can allow Sikh scholars to prove history once and for all. They need to provide detailed records of custodians of Kaaba along with names of all the qazis and mullahs that have stayed there as well as their time period. Also they should provide records of repairs of Kaaba and list of what was repaired. Otherwise they are simply making excuses. If Kaaba is a holy place then it should have the power to purify sinful people. If it does then allowing non-Muslims shouldn’t be a problem. Believing that such a holy place is defiled and loses its holiness by allowing non-Muslims to enter its premises shows that it has no power. It is no different than Brahmins not allowing low caste people in their temples. Such discrimination should have no place in a humanitarian religion.

Guru Nanak tried to bring Hindus and Muslims together. Muslim and Hindu Scriptures are vastly different. He examined them and made his own honest judgements which are greatly helpful to them to lead a pious life.He was a true saint.
