City Shaken

Once A Gursikh from the Jalandhar area had a successful business, he had about one or two factories. He also regularly did Satsangat and was a great lover of Keertan. His Business was doing well profits were at record high, this however attracted the attention of an local criminal gang. They decided to make a plan to steal the merchandise in the one of the factories. The dacoits broke into the warehouse at night and robbed everything insight.

Next Morning the Gursikh arrived at the warehouse to find everything gone, he became upset and contacted the local police station. They started a investigation, a few days had passed and they didn't even lift a finger to track down the thief's. The Gursikh thought to himself that these officers will never do nothing about my loss. He then decided to contact his Gursikh Saajan Shaheed Bhai Fauja Singh jee.

He manage to get in contact with Bhai Fauja Singh jee who use to live in Sree Amritsar Sahib. He was known to help all even if it meant giving all his money, property or life! Such Parpukaari Gursikhs are true rare gems. Bhai Sahib became filled with Bir Rassi Naam Chardikaala on hearing that such some dacoits had robbed an innocent man and the police had just sat and done nothing. He immediately set off for Jalandhar by himself with just a large Sree Sahib .

On reaching Jalandhar he went to main busy district, he then started doing Shaster Vidiya at the centre of the busy sher ( He was known expert on Shaster Vidiya), he started doing penthra movements and then pulled out his Tulwar. Bhai Sahib was doing jangi sword strikes and looked to be prepared for war. Hundreds of people started gathering around Bhai Sahib, they where simply amazed by this Naam Rassi's sight. Never had ordinary folks seen such a strong warrior who was dressed in the Khalsa Bana, his image became a reflection of Puratan Gursikhs like Akali Phoola Singh, Bhai Tara Singh Vaan, Bhai Bidhi Chand . The police soon arrived to see what was going on, seeing Bhai Fauja Singh jee the DSP asked what are you doing.

Bhai Sahib said in a Chardikala Zabardasti tone " If you Don't get My Beloved Veers property back and catch those thief's within 20 mins, then there is going to serious trouble!". The officer trembling in fear on what might happen soon sent out a team of officers to find the villains. By now the whole of Jalandhar came to a stand still with traffic and chaos everywhere. All villagers, shopkeepers etc were very understanding on what Bhai Sahib was doing and let him carry out his morcha.

Khalsa jee within 20 minutes the criminals where caught and all property was returned to the Gursikh. The DSP came back and told Bhai Fauja Singh jee, Bhai Sahib thanked him and also scolded him for not doing his duty properly. The DSP humbly apologised to both Singhs he vowed to doing his job properly in the future.

Narrated to me by Gupt Gursikh.

College Thugs

Once Shaheed Bhai Fauja Singh jee's Gursikh Mittar was running for the College Student Union President. There were many Students that had attended the Campaign day and a handful of troublemakers were also present. The troublemakers started hurling abuse at the Gursikh while he was speaking and threatened him that if he did not stand down from running for Student Union President they would sort him out.

The Gursikh later on that day met Bhai Fauja Singh jee who told him what had happened. Bh Sahib was furious and went into Bir Rass said will show these troublemakers they can't intimidate by Gursikhs veers. Bh Sahib grabbed a long Lathee and made his way to the 30-40 Mundeh. Bhai Sahib said which one of you has threatened by Veer for no reason and said many disgusting words to him. At that moment all the Mundeh got really aggressive and said what are you going to do about it?

Bhai Fauja Singh jee who was a skilled Marital Artists began hitting the Mundeh with his Lathee one by one they all dropped in a Heated Brawl pretty much all of them had Broken or Fractured Bones. Amazingly Bh Sahib didn't have a scratch on him even though he was out numbered by 30-40. Bhai Sahib said if you ever do this again to anyone then I will come back again. They all asked for forgiveness and said they would never to it again! Sardar jee Sanu Baksh Levoh Sardar jee Sanu Baksh Levoh!!

I have some scattered memories, about VEER JI.

Veer Ji was so dear, to many. JO HAR KA PYARA SO SABNA KA PYARA. His helping attitude and instant help was open for all, sikhs or non sikhs.

While travelling through Gurdaspur villages, for CHALDA VAHEER, I had the chance to be with Bhai Sahib Ji. A big cart, used to carry fodder in Punjab villages, was used to carry the LANGAR accessories, from village to village. Bhai Sahib Ji, happily drew that cart, sometimes alone.

Once a young boy, in a village, came in contact with us. He was very good in sports. They were playing Kabaddi. Bhai Sahib witnessed their talent, skill and power. Bhai Sahib was very much impressed by the young boy. He promised him all help, physical or financial, for grooming his body.
