While researching on the life of Bhai Bachittar Singh Ji, I came across lot of contradictory information on when the battle of Nirmohgarh was fought. Some historical texts (including Bhatt Vahis) say the year to be 1700 (after the battle of Sri Anandpur Sahib), few says year 1701 and couple of them saying year 1702. 1700 and 1701 both sounds reasonable and I am consumed amongst these dates. Battle of Anandpur Sahib was fought in September first week and Nirmohgarh was fought in Oct, so it could be the same year as well or the next year (because there was peace for couple of years after that).
What is sangat's thought on this topic? Bhai Kulbir Singh ji and other gursikh piare, please share your thoughts so I can finalize on one date considering your feedback.
