CHANDIGARH: The issue of fake posters against AAP convener and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal pasted on walls in Mohali and other towns of Punjab in the name of Akhand Kirtani Jatha has taken a new turn with Akhand Kirtani Jatha denying any linbk with the posters.
The posters equated Kejriwal with former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi who was responsible for attack on Akal Takht. Kejriwal was held responsible for demolition of Piau (Chhabeel) outside Gurdwara Sis Ganj Sahib in Delhi. The ruling Shiromani Akali Dal(SAD) hads been targeting Kejriwal on this issue even though AAP clarified that the demolition drive was launched by Delni Municipal Corporation controlled by BJP, an alliance partner of SAD.

AAP had taken serious note of the posters and filed a complaint to SSP Mohali Gurpreet Singh Bhullar. AAP leader and head of legal cell Himmat Singh Shergill described the act an attempt to disturb the peace and harmony of state. He said that certain political parties cant digest overwhelming response to AAP in Punjab.

Similar posters were pasted on walls in Moga showing Kejriwal with Sant Jarnail Singh Bhindrawala calling people to celebrate birthday of Bhindrawala. The posters had blamed Kejriwal for supporting radical forces for political gains. AAP had demanded an inquiry into it but Police took no action.

Akhand Kirtani Jatha head Bhai Bakhshish Singh strongly condemned content of posters and use of name of Amritsar unit of Jatha. He said that Akhand Kirtani Jatha had never equated Sis Ganj incident with army attack on Akal Takht. He demanded from Punjab government to unmask the real culprits.Bhai Ram Singh Chief Spokesman of Akahnd Kirtani Jatha said that they are pure religious body and nothing to do with politics.
He said that it was unfrotunate that name of Akhand Kirtani Jatha was misused to equate demolition of Piau at Sis Ganmj Sahib with the attack on Akal Takht.

R.P.Singh said name of printing press and the name and telephone of the person who printed and released these posters was not mentioned on the posters which an illegal act.He warned political parties against using name of Akahnd Kirtani Jatha and demanded strict action against the culprits.
