Status of Rishi Muni in Gurmat!

Posted by sikh.learner
I have heard many Katha-vachaks saying that "India is a great land of our Guru Sahibaan as well as land of great avataars like Raam, krishan as well as land of great rishi munis".

Gurmat is very clear on Brahma,Vishnu(and his avatars like ram, krishan) and Shiva. According to Gurmat, all these devtas are subject to Jam-Kaal.

I want to know what Gurmat says on Rishi-Munis.
Rishi and Muni are sanskrit words and were initially used for those people who did lots of tapasya and heard the Vedas. Slowly, rishi-muni meant those people who fought and silenced their minds and had knowledge of Vedas, Upanishads and Shastraas.

Veer Kulbir Singh Jeeoo,
Please tell what Gurbani says about Rishi-Munis.
