On Sikh Channel, they were showing a birad saroop written by Udasis and it contains Mahala 10 in Salok Mahalla 9, is this normal in older saroops? Unsurprisingly the reporter asked whether it contained Rag Mala and it did.

Raag Jaijaivanti is next to Jaitsree as opposed near the end, so at madh.

Interesting! Thanks for sharing. Yes, some old Saroops have Mahalla 10 for that one Salok in Salok Mahalla 9 but most Saroops don't have it. As per our currently accepted Saroop, there is no Mahalla 10 in Siri Guru Granth Sahib jee and to steer clear of any new controversy we should keep it this way.

Regarding using snake skin to ward off insects, it's an interesting way of doing so but it is said that snake skin attracts snakes as well. If it's true, then you way ward off some insects but attract Cobras, which is not a great idea.

It's probably not the best time to make a controversy of what Guru Sahib includes and doesn't include, the Old Saroops of Guru Sahib were different by their nature with some including some things and not other things, (all I'm saying is this shouldn't be an unresolved issue like Raag Mala).
