The Shabad basically talks about how the 5 elements of this body get dissolved into the 5 basic elements e.g. Pavnai meh Pavna i.e. air into air, Jyot i.e. fire into fire, Earth (maati) into maati etc. In the Rahao Pankiti, Guru Sahib advises the ignorant jeev to consult a Brahmgyani Gurmukh and do Vichaar as to who has died since the Jeev-Aatma has moved on and the body has dissolved into the basic 5 elements. The ones who are crying don’t have any information about the next world and they cry in vain at the death of their loved ones because they too have to die eventually. Kartaar has created this creation and as per his Apaar Hukam, Jeevs just come and go (Aavat Jaavat) and no one really dies and nor is anyone capable of dying i.e. Aatma never dies. What this Jeev seems to be, it’s not and what it actually is, no one knows; only when one meets the True Guru, the doubt and the illusion is dispelled.
No where in this Shabad there is any talk of absence of Dharam Rai or Jamdoot etc. This Shabad talks about the creation and the reincarnation of Jeevs from a very high spiritual state. In this state, where everyone is Aatma roop, there is no dukh or sukh or worldly difficulties. There is no death and birth in this stage and also it’s a fact that the Tatt-Aatma stays untouched during the reincarnation of Jeev-Aatma. It’s the mann or the mind that suffers, not the Aatma.
Rest Guru Sahib knows better and Guru Sahib has instructed us to discuss this with Brahmgyani Gurmukhs; therefore, unless we have the fortune of discussing this Shabad with Brahmgyani Gurmukhs, we can never get complete understanding of the concepts discussed in this Shabad. This Daas has done a very shallow Vichaar of this Shabad, as my consciousness is too low to fully comprehend this Shabad. Guru Sahib baksh lain jee.
Daas,
