ਜੰਮੂ ਕਸ਼ਮੀਰ ਆੲੇ ਹੜੑਾ ਨੇ ਿਕਸੇ ਵੀ ਧਰਮ ਦੇ ਲੋਕਾ ਨੰੂ ਨਹੀ ਬਖਸਿਆ।ਸਰਕਾਰਾ ਵੱਲੋ ਭਾਵੇ ਕੀਤਾ ਿਗਆ ਿਵਤਕਰਾ ਸਾਫ ਿਦਖਾੲੀ ਿਦੰਦਾ ਹੈ।ਭਾਵੇ ਕਸ਼ਮੀਰ ਿਵੱਚ ਿਗਣਤੀ ਮੁਸਲਮਾਨ ਵੀਰਾ ਦੀ ਿਜਆਦਾ ਹੈ।ਪਰ ਬਹੁਤ ਿਹੰਦੂ ਪਰਿਵਾਰਾ ਨੇ ਵੀ ਘਰ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਆਪਣਾ ਸਭ ਕੁਝ ਗਵਾ ਿਲਆ।ਿੲਨਾ ਿਵੱਚੋ ਿੲੱਕ ਗਰੀਮਾ ਨਾਮੀ ਿਹੰਦੂ ਗਰਭਵਤੀ ਭੈਣ ਦਾ ਵੀ ਘਰ ਬਾਰ ਸਭ ਕੁਝ ਉੱਜੜ ਿਗਆ।
ਿਸਹਤ ਖਰਾਬ ਹੋਣ ਕਾਰਨ ਸਰਕਾਰੇ ਦਰਬਾਰੇ ਸਭ ਪਾਸੇ ਮਦਦ ਦੀ ਗੁਹਾਰ ਲਗਾਉਦੀ ਰਹੀ।ਨਾ ਸਰਕਾਰਾ ਨੇ ਰਾਸ ਲੲੀ,ਨਾ ਹੀ ਿਕਸੇ ਹੋਰ ਭਾੲੀਚਾਰੇ ਨੇ।
ਆਖਰਕਾਰ ਜਦ ਗੁਰੂ ਘਰ ਜਾ ਕੇ ਜਦ ਬੀਬੀ ਨੇ ਗੁਹਾਰ ਲਗਾੲੀ ਤਾਂ AUSTRALIAN SIKH SUPPORT ਦੇ ਿਸੰਘ ਤਰੰੁਤ ਨੇੜਲੇ ਹਸਪਤਾਲ ਲੈ ਗੲੇ।ਡਾਕਟਰਾ ਨੇ ਬੀਬੀ ਦੀ ਹਾਲਤ ਨਾਜੁਕ ਦੱਸਦਿਆ ਵੱਡੇ ਹਸਪਤਾਲ ਭੇਜ ਿਦੱਤਾ।ਸ਼ੇਰੇ ਕਸ਼ਮੀਰ ਿੲਨਸੀਟੂਡ ਆਫ ਮੈਡੀਕਲ ਸਾਿੲੰਸ(SKIMS) ਹਸਪਤਾਲ ਪੁਜਦਿਆ ਸਾਰ ਡਾਕਟਰਾ ਨੇ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕੇ ਬੀਬੀ ਦੇ ਬੱਚੇ ਨੰੂ ਬਚਾਿੲਆ ਨਹੀ ਜਾ ਸਕਦਾ।ਪਰ ਉਹ ਬੀਬੀ ਨੰੂ ਬਚਾਉਣ ਦੀ ਕੋਿਸਸ ਕਰਣਗੇ।ਿਸੰਘਾ ਨੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਸਾਹਿਬਾਨ ਅੱਗੇ ਬੱਚੇ ਅਤੇ ਬੀਬੀ ਨੰੂ ਤੰਦਰੁਸਤੀ ਦੇਣ ਲੲੀ ਅਰਦਾਸ ਕੀਤੀ।
ਬੀਬੀ ਦੇ ਹਾਲਾਤ ਬਹੁਤ ਖਰਾਬ ਹੋਣ ਕਾਰਨ ਮਲ ਮੂਤਰ ਖੂਣ ਨਾਲ ਲਤਪਤ ਬੀਬੀ ਕੋਲ ਕੋੲੀ ਵੀ ਨੇੜੇ ਨਹੀ ਸੀ ਆ ਰਿਹਾ।ਿਸੰਘਾ ਨੇ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਬੀਬੀ ਦੀ ਸਾਫ ਸਫਾੲੀ ਕੀਤੀ।ਦਵਾੲੀਆ ਹਸਪਤਾਲ ਉਪਲਬੱਧ ਨਾ ਹੋਣ ਕਾਰਨ ਿਤੰਨ ਿਕਲੋਮੀਟਰ ਦੋੜ ਕੇ ਆਉਣਾ ਜਾਉਣਾ ਪੈਦਾ ਸੀ।ਅੋਰਤਾ ਦਾ ਹਸਪਤਾਲ ਹੋਣ ਕਾਰਨ ਕੇਵਲ ਅੋਰਤਾ ਹੀ ਅੰਦਰ ਜਾ ਸਕਦੀਆ ਸਨ।ਪਰ ਡਾਕਟਰ ਨੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਿਸੱਖਾ ਤੇ ਭਰੋਸਾ ਕਰਦਿਆ ਪੂਰੀ ਖੁੱਲ ਦੇ ਿਦੱਤੀ।
ਬੀਬੀ ਕੲੀ ਘੰਟੇ ਦਰਦ ਨਾਲ ਤੜਫਦੀ ਰਹੀ।ਖੂਨ ਦੀ ਕਮੀ ਹੋਣ ਕਾਰਨ ਿਸੰਘਾ ਨੇ ਆਪਣਾ ਖੂਨ ਬੀਬੀ ਨੰੂ ਿਦੱਤਾ।ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਦਾ ਕੋੲੀ ਜੀਅ ਕੋਲ ਨਹੀ ਸੀ।ਕੋਲ ਸਨ ਕੁਝ ਸਮਾ ਪਹਿਲਾ ਿਮਲੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਿਸੰਘ।ਬੱਚੇ ਦੀ ਆਸ ਤਾ ਡਾਕਟਰਾ ਵੱਲੋ ਛੱਡ ਹੀ ਿਦੱਤੀ ਗੲੀ ਸੀ।ਕੋਿਸਸ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਾ ਰਹੀ ਸੀ ਬੀਬੀ ਗਰੀਮਾ ਨੰੂ ਬਚਾਉਣ ਦੀ।
ਆਖਰਕਾਰ ਿਸੰਘਾ ਵੱਲੋ ਕੀਤੀ ਅਰਦਾਸ ਪਰਵਾਨ ਹੋੲੀ।ਬੀਬੀ ਨੇ ਤੰਦੁਰਸਤ ਬੱਚੇ ਨੰੂ ਜਨਮ ਿਦੱਤਾ।ਡਾਕਟਰ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਿੲਸ ਚਮਤਕਾਰ ਨੰੂ ਵੇਖ ਹੈਰਾਨ ਰਹਿ ਗੲੇ।ਸਾਰੇ ਹਸਪਤਾਲ ਿਵੱਚ ਖੁਸੀ ਵਾਲਾ ਮਾਹੋਲ ਛਾ ਿਗਆ।ਸਾਰੇ ਹਸਪਤਾਲ ਵੱਲੋ ਿਸੰਘਾ ਵੱਲੋ ਕੀਤੇ ਗੲੇ ਮਹਾਨ ਕਾਰਜ ਦੀ ਸਲਾਘਾ ਕੀਤੀ ਗੲੀ।ਡਾਕਟਰਾ ਵੱਲੋ ਿਸੱਖ ਕੋਮ ਦਾ ਤਹਿ ਿਦਲੋ ਧੰਨਵਾਦ ਕੀਤਾ ਿਗਆ ਿਜਨਾ ਘਰ ਬਾਰ ਛੱਡ ਕੇ ਹੜੑ ਪੀੜਤਾ ਦੀ ਮਦਦ ਕੀਤੀ।
ਬੀਬੀ ਗਰੀਮਾ ਨੇ ਜਦ ਿਸੰਘਾ ਨੰ ਿਮਲੀ।ਬੀਬੀ ਦੇ ਅੱਥਰੂ ਵਹਿ ਤੁਰੇ।ਆਪਣੇ ਨਵਜੰਮੇ ਬੱਚੇ ਨੰੂ ਵੇਖ ਿਸੰਘਾ ਨੰੂ ਕਹਿਣ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਕੋੲੀ ਸਬਦ ਨਹੀ ਸਨ।
ਅਾਖਰਕਾਰ ਿੲਹੀ ਕੇਹਾ "ਮੈ ਚਾਹਤੀ ਹੋ ਮੇਰਾ ਬੇਟਾ ਭੀ ਆਪ ਜੇਸਾ ਿਸੱਖ ਬਣੇ" ਬੱਚੇ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਵੀ "ਯੁਵਰਾਜ ਿਸੰਘ" ਰੱਖਿਆ ਿਗਆ।
ਬੀਬੀ ਜੀ ਅਤੇ ਬੱਚਾ ਿਬਲਕੁਲ ਠੀਕ ਠਾਕ ਹਨ।

A pregnant Hindu sister Garima who lost everything in the floods was saved by the efforts of Singhs. She named her son Yuvraj Singh.

The floods that have ravaged Jammu Kashmir did not spare any community. The discrimination done at the hands of the government was evident. Not only Muslims but many Hindu families also lost everything in these floods. One of them was a pregnant sister called Garima.

Her deteriorating health had her call for help from the government. No one listened to her cries, not the ones in power, nor any other community. Ultimately she reached the Gurduara and the Singhs of Australian Sikh Support took her to the hospital immediately. The doctors perceived her condition as critical and advised to take her to a bigger hospital. She was then taken to Sher-E-Kashmir Institute of Medical Science (SKIMS) where the doctors said that they could try and save her but not the baby. The Singhs did Ardas to Guru Sahib, and prayed for the health of both the mother and the baby.

Garima's condition was worsening, she was covered in urine, stool, and blood. No one was coming near her. The Singhs cleaned her up themselves. There were no medicines in the hospital, so they had to run 3 kilometres back and forth to get her the medicines required. Being a women's hospital, only women were allowed. However, the doctor trusted the Singhs and made an exception.

Garima was writhing in pain. Due to loss of blood, the Singhs gave her their blood. No one from her family was around her, except these few Singhs whom she had just met. The doctors had lost all hope of saving the baby, but efforts were on to save Garima.

Finally, the Ardas done by the Singhs was answered. Garima gave birth to a healthy baby boy. The doctors were astonished at this miracle. All over the hospital there was an atmosphere of joy, and everyone was glorifying the determination of the Singhs. The doctors also thanked the Sikh qaum whole-heartedly who had left their homes and come in order to help the flood-hit people.

When Garima met the Singhs, she was so overwhelmed with emotions, so much in tears that she couldn't talk. When she could, all she said was "I want my son to be a Sikh like you", and named her son Yuvraj Singh.

Both Garima and Yuvraj Singh are doing fine now.

I got pretty emotional while reading it, and once again while translating it in Hindi.

ज़िंदगी और मौत से जूझ रही गर्भवती हिन्दू बहन गरिमा, जिसने सब कुछ बाढ़ में गवा दिया, सिखों की महनत से जान बची । लड़के का नाम युवराज सिंह रखा ।

सारा किस्सा नीचे.....

जम्मू कश्मीर में आए बाढ़ ने किसी धर्म को नहीं बख्शा । सरकारों द्वारा किया भेद-भाव साफ़ नज़र आया । मुसलमान ही नहीं, कई हिन्दू परिवारों ने भी अपना सब कुछ खो दिया । इन में से एक गरिमा नामी हिन्दू गर्भवती बहन का भी सब कुछ उजड़ गया ।

सेहत जवाब दे गई और सरकारों के दरबार पे गुहार लगाई । न सरकारों ने सुनी, न किसी और भाईचारे ने । आखिरकार गुरदुआरे पहुँची और Australian Sikh Support के सिख तुरंत हस्पताल ले गए । डॉक्टरों ने बहन की हालत नाज़ुक बताते हुए बड़े हस्पताल ले जाने को कहा । Sher-E-Kashmir Institute of Medical Science (SKIMS) पहुँचे तो डॉक्टरों ने कहा की गरिमा को बचाने की कोशिश की जा सकती है पर बच्चे को नहीं । सिखों ने गुरु साहिब के चरणो में अरदास की और दोनों माँ और होने वाले बच्चे की तंदरुस्ती के लिए प्रार्थना की ।

गरिमा की हालत बहुत खराब होने के कारण मल-मूत्र और खून में लथपथ उसके पास कोई नहीं आ रहा था । सिखों ने खुद इनकी सफाई की । हस्पताल में दवाईयां ना होने के कारण तीन किलोमीटर दौड़ के आना जाना पड़ता था । औरतों का हस्पताल होने की वजह से सिर्फ औरतें ही अंदर जा सकती हैं । पर डाक्टर ने गुरु के सिखों का भरोसा करते हुए पूरी छूट दे दी ।

गरिमा कई घंटे दर्द से तड़पती रही । खून की कमी होने से सिखों ने अपना खून भी गरिमो को दिया । परिवार का कोई भी पास नहीं था । पास में थे तो कुछ देर पहले मिले गुरु के सिख । डॉक्टर बच्चे को बचाने की आस छोड़ चुके थे । गरिमा को बचाने की कोशिश की जा रही थी ।

आखिरकार सिखों की अरदास परवान हुई । गरिमा ने तंदरुस्त बच्चे को जन्म दिया । डॉक्टर परमात्मा के इस चमत्कार को देख हैरान हुए । सारे हस्पताल में ख़ुशी वाला माहौल छा गया और सिखों द्वारा किये गए महान काम की सराहना हुई । डॉक्टरों ने सिख कौम का तह दिल से धन्यवाद किया जो घर बार छोड़ के बाढ़ पीड़ितों की मदद कर रहे थे ।

गरिमा जब सिखों से मिली तो उसके आँसू रुकने का नाम नहीं ले रहे थे और वह कुछ बोल नहीं पा रही थी । बस यही कहा "मैं चाहती हूँ मेरा बेटा भी आप जैसा सिख बने", और बच्चे का नाम "युवराज सिंह" रखा गया ।

गरिमा और युवराज सिंह दोनों अब बिलकुल ठीक-ठाक हैं ।
