Head of Divya Jyoti Jagriti Sansthan, Ashutosh, on Wednesday died in the dera of the sect in Noormahal of Jalandhar district on intervening night on Wednesday.
Having a large number of followers all in India and around the globe, Ashutosh reportedly died of heart attack. He was also the founder of the Dera in 1983 in Noormahal.
Known for delivering spiritual discourse through its discourses, the dera is involved in carrying number of social activities and launch fight against many social evils like drug abuse.
The exact cause of death of the Dera head is yet to be confirmed officially by the dera, however, sources said the dera head died after having severe pain in the chest.
Following the news of his death, followers have started moving towards Noormahal.
