Has Kabaddi got any relation with Sikhi ?

These days, Kabaddi World Cup is being held in Punjab and this sport is becomming very popular in India, Pakistan and all over the world. Has this sport got any link with Sikhism ?
Shud amritdhari youth be encouraged to take this sport as this sport demands one to be powerful, athletic and never give up spirit ?

New age kabbadi requires you to go shirt-less and wear shorts only which should answer your question. But all Gursikhs should train to have a body that is built to dominate such a sport, because it is farz of every Gursikh to be physically fit and prepared for any type of combat.

That's true. Guru Jee has made Akkharas for Sikhs of olden times so Sikhs can have strong bodies. Traditional Kushti and Kabbadi are very competitive sports which require a person to train their bodies for any ਪੰਗਾ like situation. For these sports one must do a lot of Baithaks and Dands plus other such weight exercises. It helps a person to be Tyar Bar Tyar.
