Could any knowledgeable gurmukh shed light on the tradition of 'panj kapare' (five garments)?
In an article, 'The Significance of The Hazooriya', it was written that, "It is part of the tradition of panj kapare (five garments), comprising dastaar (turban), hazooria, long chola (dress), kamar-kasaa (material tied around the waist like a belt) and kachheraa (under-garment). Reference to this has been made by Bhai Gurdaas Jee as well."
I was able to find this pangti only:
ਪਹਿਨੇ ਪੰਜੇ ਕਪੜੇ ਪੁਰਸਾਵਾਂ ਵੇਸੁ।
Wearing five garments one may assume the garb of a male person.
