Daas was talking to his father today who came back from the Samagam that was help in MP. Some of the things he mentioned:
1. The families are very poor and some don't even have proper homes. A lot of them have no education. Girls requested singhs from punjab to help them with getting proper education so that they can be self sufficient and avoid early childhood marriages which are a norm in that region.
2. This time some families from so called upper castes and also some who earlier followed deras like Radha Swami came to attend the samagam and hopefully this trend will increase bringing more and more into Gurmat.
3. The families there have immense love for gursikhi. The naam abhyaas khanda is roaring in the village. Some of them are in really vismaad avastha. This time a young bibi got pesh at the samagam and she went into complete vismaad and was doing naam abhyaas non stop whole night.
4. The gurdwara sahib building is bring constructed but the quality of work hasn't been upto the mark. Roofs were leaking in some places.
A lot more needs to be done and most importantly the Jatha needs to take extreme care in managing the seva for this initiative as these gursikhs are coming into sikhi with too much faith and if anything wrong happens by mistake that puts Sikhi in bad name, it will have a very detrimental effect. Qudos to sevadaars who are doing the seva so far.
