Why is that when some dera baabay pass away, their devoties and followers dispose the body in the water?? What's the significance or history behind this??
And why is that when a new baba is selected, people start touching their feet and bowing to them?? Again, what is the significance or history behind this??

Because Dera's are almost always a very horrible place where brainwashing and unparr-ness and chilaakiaan by the dera heads lead to the demise of all gurmat in people. Deravaad is a sick disease and second to the GOI in trying to ruin Sikhi. STAY AWAY FROM DERAS.

Sevak Jio,

Daas never heard of this tradition in Sikh Panth that Saskar kirya is to disposed dead body in water. Saskaar Kirya is to do 'Agan Bhet'.
