YEs ,It is true that Bhai Gurdas ji Di Vaaran provide information relevent to Gurbanee understanding.
This is equally true that these are being overlooked and that is why there is all variations in correct
interpretation of Gurbanee.

There ae 40 Vaars Bhai Gurdas ji .The language of these vaars is almost similat to that in SGGS ji as far as
grammar is concerned. So one should be well familiar with the correct grammar of Gurmukhi words for
getting True understanding of the messages from th vaars.

Very few might be knowing there are two Bhai Gurdas ji So one should be knowing what are the vaars
by Ist Bhai Gurdas ji and by 2nd Bhai Gurdas ji.

Our preachers and scholars do not convey this fact related to Bhai Gurdas jis and contribution from both
Bhai Gurdas ji to Vaar is under common Head as "Vaaran Bhai Gurdas ji"

This is little information related to this.

Bhai Gurdas Ji was a Gurmukh of an extremely high avastha. Sri Guru Arjan Dev Ji states Bhai Sahibs writings are the key to Gurbani, and those who recite and learn from these writings will receieve the gift of Sikhi. There is also a Hukum that one should read these verses in the evening. Bhai Gurdas Jis writings are a description of the distinctiness of Gurmat and the distinct lifestyle of a Gurmukh. Also, through Bhai Sahibs writings we learn some of the oral traditions which were practiced during the first 6 gurus. Some traditions include nitnem, degh, and celebrating gurpurabs with love. Here are some quotes about Gurmat traditions from his writings.

There are fourty Vaars and each Vaar includes numerous pauris. Ther is no set number of pauri for each vaar.

There are numerous translations/teekas of Bhai Gurdas Ji. I think the most popular one is Bhai Vir Singhs. Shaheed Bhai Mani Singh also has a steek on these writings titled Sikhan dee Bhagat Mala and these mention distinctness of Gurmat and the lifestyle of Gurmukhs during the time of Bhai Gurdas Ji.

There is also a translation of all fourty vaars on the internet.
