It has been mentioned on this website that by japping Kirtam Naam, one can go as high as Karam Khand. No doubt, japping Kirtam Naam is a very good thing but does it really has the power to take one to Karam Khand ?
The below shabad makes it clear that only by serving True Guru ( Guru Nanak Dev Jee), one gets Naam.
Everyone speaks Naam through their mouth but they dont possess Naam.

Everyone speaks the Name of the Lord with the tongue.ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਸੇਵੇ ਤਾ ਨਾਮੁ ਲਹੈ ॥
But only by serving the True Guru does the mortal receive the Name.
