What are the 5 Nitnem Bania and what do they do?
Sri Jap Jee Sahib, for Brahmgian
Sri Jaap Sahib, to praise Akaal Purakh
Svaiyai, to Create a longing for Akaal Purakh and criticize hypocrisy
Bentee Chaupai, For protection and requests
Anand Sahib, to enjoy the bliss of being liberated. (Do all 40 Pauris/stanzas)

Other than these 5 do Sri Sukhmani Sahib- which is remembering God with each and every breath. And do Asa Dee Vaar, it removes the cycle of 8.4 million lives.

In the evening do Sri Rehraas Sahib, this gets you a spot in Sach Khand. Before going to sleep read Keertan Sohila, this protects us from the Jamdoots (Messengers of Death). By reading Keertan Sohila you will not have any bad dreams.

What are the 5 Kakkars?
Kachhera- It is a sign of Celibacy ( In Sikhi a person is considered a Celibate by having relations with only one wife, and no one else. ਏਕਾ ਨਾਰੀ ਜਤੀ ਹੋਇ ਪਰ ਨਾਰੀ ਧੀ ਭੈਣ ਵਖਾਣੈ॥ Having one women as wife he (the Sikh) is a celibate and considers any other's wife his daughter or a sister.) Must always be white.
Kara- Teaches us that these are Guru Gobind Singh Jee’s arms, so we can never do anything wrong with our hands. Must always be of Sarbloh.
Kanga- To comb our hair, it keeps the hair clean. Must always be of wood.
Kirpan- Always reminds us of death. It is only used for protection, and never as an aggressor. It must be of Sarbloh.
Kes (including Keski/Dastar)- By keeping Kes and tying a Keski (for men and women) it shows that a Sikh is willing to accept Guru Jee’s hukam in not removing any hair and by tying a Dastar, which also keeps the hair clean. Never do anything to dishonour the hair, including removing, dying, colouring etc.

What are the four Bujjer Kureits?
Tobacco- Using tobacco or other intoxicants is forbidden.
Eating meat- Any type of meat is not acceptable for a Sikh to eat.
Sexual Relations with others- Having a relationship with another, other than one’s spouse is forbidden.
Removing or dishonouring any hair, in any method is forbidden- This includes but is not limited to, shaving, waxing, laser, colouring, dying etc.

What are the four colours of the Khalsa?
Blue(ਨੀਲਾ)
Black(ਕਾਲਾ)
White(ਚਿੱਟਾ)
Yellow(ਖੱਟਾ)
Do not wear red or crimson coloured clothing. And the ਭਗਵਾ colour which is a type of faded orange worn by Hindus. Wear simple clothes. Do not wear fancy clothes.
