Veerji, I don't think you have realized the amount of skilled poets on this forum. Instead of asking for already made poems, ryhmes, lullaby's etc, you should ask sangat to make some new ones for you!

Pikaboo, and they come for you
the Singhs on their horses,
the Mughals they overthrew
Pikaboo, and they come for you
adorning Guru Sahib's Bana
staying Loyal and True
Pikaboo, and they come for you
the Mughals are no comparison
to the Singh crew
Pikaboo, and they come for you
Massa Rangarr's head chopped off
and faced the death's noose
Now go to sleep! smiling smiley

may I ever be free of vikaar

humpty dumpty sat on a wall
paapaan di thhand ch paavo Bani di shawl

baa baa black sheep have you any wool
Amritvele uthho te mildi kirpa full

Jack and Jill went up the hill to fetch a pail of water
paraayee nu apni maata jaano, ya sister ya daughter

Bahut Khoob Sahib Singh jee. You have written very Gurmat oriented Loree for kids.

I would say the best Lori for kids would be to sing Gurbani to them.

You're right Bhai Kulbir Singh jeeo. One Gurmukh couple that I know here, their daughter is only 2.5 years old and knows Mool Mantar, full Fateh, ooda-ayda, and several Gurbani tuks already. Daas taught her how to say "chardi kala", so now whenever anyone asks her "ki haal aa", she says "chadi kada". grinning smiley

Paramhans jeeo, I missed your poem yesterday. It's splendid! The last couplet is too much for a toddler, though.

I think this is the best "poetry" you can sing to your child. As Bhai Kulbir Singh jee has said, Gurbani is above all:

ਗੂਜਰੀ ਮਹਲਾ ੫ ||
